Edit and View First Unread
 

I've been wondering about the following for a loooong time and now I want answers!!! :p

It seems that when I have to edit a grammar error etc I can sometimes edit up to 4 times and still no "last edited by Nancy" appears beneath my post. And sometimes I can only edit two times and then it appears. Why is that?

Also why don't all threads with multiple pages include the View First Unread link? This thread has it but this doesn't?! What's up with that?

on the edit...there is a time limit to edit before the "edited" legend comes up....I "think" its two minutes...but Im sure someone can verify.

no matter how many times you edit within that time frame it wont come up....if you edit AFTER then it shows up

I see the 'view first unread' on both pages. Perhaps, you had already read the second thread, so there were no new items? Also, when you are in the list view of forum threads, did you know that you can click on the down-arrow just before the title to jump to the first unread post?

There is indeed a time limit....if however, someone views the thread before edit, and within this time frame, it will show the edit message.
