HELP: FTP Client
 

I ran a search on this subject, and didn't find anything, so hopefully this isn't a repeat thread..

I am looking for a Freeware FTP Client so that I may finaly post some assorted pics on the TFP. Does anyone know where I might find this, or perhaps have a hacked version of one?

Its a full featured ftp client. Useful for day to day ftp... ftping. Its the best you can get without paying for it.

If you are using Windows, you can use IE as your ftp client. in the address bar you can enter ftp://domain_name. Then login when prompted and use it like an explorer window to drag and drop files into. Not the best in the world, but it's free.

You can do it all from the command line by just typing in... ftp

I just never liked any of the GUI ftp programs I tried. Or if I liked them the demo would expire. So I just stuck with what I didn't have to pay for.

OK.. What if I have a password? Where do I enter that?

If you are talking about IE, after the site comes up, if it doesn't automatically prompt for it, you can right click in the white space and select Login As. You will then be prompted.

Still no dice.. Would being behind a router cause this problem.. Fire wall central..

Well.. Isn't this just nice.. I managed to get the FTP to my host to work, and now I find out that the "free" webspace offered to me through the great, grand, and wonderfull Road Runner doesn't allow hotlinking due to bandwidth. This includes webcams.. So I'm screwed..

Does anyone know of hosting that I can use for these purposes?

umm, COUGH COUGH - look up "free image hosting" (without quotes) using the search function in the top right of the screen. :D
