Positional Timing
an aside - thing to notice: Is the TFP Board clock running a bit faster (ahead) since the weekend?
My only two (and a half) ways of telling what time it is currently derives from a wristwatch-converted-into-pocketwatch (it has no banding) and my internal clock (circadian rhythm) , which is sometimes as accurate as between a minute and a day, depending. When I'm online, the only other thing I may rely on is the tiny emboldened red forum clock at the bottom of nearly every page on the board. Difficulty is, it seems to be ahead by as little as 90 sec. - 2-odd min. of what the actual time is. Just asking if anyone else may notice this; this is not a plea to get it fixed promptly (because as I'm aware, we've had a few minor glitches like this happen a few years past as well) and I'm just inclined to believe that given enough time, it will correct itself, without our aid. (I don't even know why I started this if that last remark is my stance.) |
the time is wrong by 6 hours according to my watch...
at least the minutes are spot on 7:30am TFP Time 1:30 pm UAE Time ------- or so i thought. it looks like the TFP time and the time stamp are out by 2-3 minutes |
Yeah, the clock seems to be off by a minute or two. Honestly, I find the more interesting part of this thread to be the revelation that you have no clocks :p

SM70: I used to have dozen of clocks, clock/radio duos, tickers, and misc. other items that would beep and chirp all hours of the day, but over the years, I've grown to lose track of nearly all of them in various inter-and-intra-continental moves, save for this little digital "pocketwatch" I just happened to find along the way.
The weird thing is, I set the clock some years ago to be approximately 92 seconds fast, (I hear Peyton Manning's own personal prefernce for his wristwatches is to set them eight minutes fast, but this is sorta an out there fact toss-in) and so I first noticed around Sunday or Monday that when I was submittting some odd posts, they were actually ahead of what my clock said, and I was wondering if I slept through some impromptu daylight savings mandate since last Friday. As already stated, I've got a very weird thing about my timing habits. With all the things that run together, in all honesty, I'm probably still in the mindset of this being 2008 more than just a season away from being 2011. |
