Is it possible to disable the Shoutbox once and for all?
I really have no interest in viewing/using the Shoutbox, yet every time I visit the site it seems I have to close it manually.
Is there an option to disable the Shoutbox so that it doesn't show up every time I visit TFP? |
If you have cookies enabled it should save your preferences. Without, you are probably out of luck.

I also don't have any interest in it, mine stays closed, but I also have my cookies enabled.

Thanks guys! Didn't even know closing it was an option. Simply enabled cookies, closed shoutbox, logged out,logged in, blocked cookies. No shoutbox.

Yes, the shoutbox is gone. It will not be returning in the foreseeable future.

is there a thread that gives the history to this decision? Out of curiousity more than anything. I found the damn thing to be an adolescent nuisance myself...
