Repeated Sign In Problem - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

Many times I will have to sign in over and over, when going to another thread and when trying to post. Any ideas???

What browser? What security settings? Sounds like a cookie or session problem - they're not being persisted. If your browser is deleting cookies, closing sessions, or otherwise befuddling them, then tfproject.org has no way of knowing who you are anymore.

are you checking the 'remember me?' checkbox when you sign in?

I dont check the remember me box, cause my nieces also use my puter at times. This doesnt happen all the time, which is strange, sometimes no probs. I use firefox & explorer, securty settings and cookies are set properly. After I've already started a session and I move around the board, I'll have to sign in again, sometimes many times, sometimes its fine. I have many sites I have to sign in to, but this board is the only one doing that. I suspect its virtual gremlins.....

It's the remember me box. The same thing happens to me if i don't check it when i sign in.

Thanks....I suppose I could check the box, then delete my cookies after I sign off.....I think I can use firefox and set it to automatically delete all cookies when I close that browser.

If you're not checking the "remember me" box, and you leave yourself inactive for 15 minutes or more, it will sign you out due to inactivity. If you don't want that to happen, then either click the "remember me" box, or before you walk away, click the "currently active users" link on the front page.
