Logs me out before I can post.
maybe this is something in my settings, but i have had issues the past couple of days with the site automatically logging me out. I got to post a response to a thread and it tells me I need to log in, and of course everything I have just written has been erased. Is there a quick fix, or should I just plan on saving everything in notepad before posting? thanks!

If you log in, it should make the post,, but will give you an errroneous message saying that the thread is not open.
Make sure you check the "Remember Me?" box and you'll stay logged in. |
SD, I am having the identical situation. I never log out, I always use "remember me", but I find myself logged out when I enter tfp. I log in, attempt a post and I am notified that I am not logged in.
This has only been going on for a few days so I don't think it would be an issue with the update, unless some other recent change when in. Maybe it's a girl thing? ;) |
I used to have that problem intermittently in the journals a while ago. I knew I was logged in, had my browsers set to accept cookies, and it would just not work. There never was a fix for it, and it stopped doing it to me eventually. Does it happen after staying on a particular page for a long time, like 10-15 minutes or so?

I'm experiencing the same problem.
I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.4 on Windows going through a Privoxy proxy (which should allow all cookies). I'm going to try wiping all my cookies and see if it keeps happening. Man its annoying when you've written a long post. |
Im in the same boat here. Seems to just recently started.
Its quite annoying because I use the "new posts" button and when it logs me out, I can no longer see what new posts their are since last time I logged on. |
I had this problem with several forums after upping the security settings on the computer in Firefox. I allowed cookies, logged in to the forums I go to, using the 'remember me' then reset the disallow.

Problem here as well, using Safari 2.0.3 on a Mac. I'll have to see if the problem replicates itself tomorrow from work, using a PC and Firefox.
|
Same here, with Mozilla 1.5.0.4. I normally do not have this problem but it still occurs every once in a while.
|
For FF users, try changing cookie settings to "until I close Firefox."

Just an update: I haven't had the problem in several days now. I have the standard XP and IE setup. Go figure.
