Winky Wright vs Felix Trinidad

After watching Trinidad demolish Mayorga, it's clear he hasn't lost a step since retiring. However, I think he'll hit a brick wall with Wright, just as he did with Hopkins. Wright will not leave himself open for anything. I'd like to see Wright win, so he can finally get the exposure he's deserved for so long. If he beats Trinidad, he will be on top of the world.

If Trinidad beats Winky, it will be no less impressive. Fights like this are few and far between.

I haven't had HBO in years, and only catch pay per view occasionally, so I wish I could contribute some better insight.

I still think Trinidad is too experienced for Wright and a much bigger puncher. Not to disparage Wright, but besides beating a Mosley (who lost twice to Vernon Forest and then won a controversial decision over Del Hoya before getting beat by Wright twice) he has just a couple impressive wins. I think Trinidad will work him.

wright by knockdown in round 9... trinidad is past his best, although impressive against mayorga.

Man, I can't wait for tonight! I am going with Trinidad, but I really want to see a great fight after catching last weeks epic battle between Corrales and Castillo. Tito just has too much experience and power, but Wright will definitely put up a challenge with his awkward southpaw stance.

I was totally wrong. Just the opposite occurred, Wright worked Trinidad. I didn't watch the fight, but the scorecards heavily favored Wright in a unanimous decision.

Wright is so technically superior in everyway to ANYONE else at 160, I'm not sure even Hopkins, nor Taylor could beat him. Handspeed is De-La-Hoya-esq, with better defense, and a pinpoint puncher, PLUS - He's a southpaw.

Wright is very techinical, but he creates matchup hell being a southpaw. Hopkins maybe still be the techincal genius he is, but his age showed against Eastman and DLH giving up the first 4-5 rounds in both fights. He can't do that against Winky. But all that talk is premature, he still has to get past Taylor on July 16th. Hopkins is fighting for his living and his image now, he's ripe for Taylor to take him out. It'll be tough, but not impossible.

Taylor-Wright will be a fight one day, alot of fun it will be to watch.

It was a complete shut out in my opinion. I like winky but tipped tito to win this. Watched it live from home and was very one sided.
