i don't think there will be a next time for toney. Isn't he going to be banned for 2 years? No one is going to want to fight a doper anyway.

Not like the NBA where you get a big 5 game suspension. Or MLB where you get a 10 day holiday.

Not sure what the NHL or NFL do, but certainly steroid policies in many major sports are a joke.

Agreed. Boxing is not a sham. Some of the decisions are, though. It's not even known exactly what Toney tested positive for. Some are saying steroids, which has become a very broad term. Toney is saying is was medication he was taking to help his injuries which led to a positive testing result, which is very possible. Who knows? All I really know is that Ruiz is a chump, and he got owned by Toney. If Toney was on 'roids, I doubt he would've been as fat as he was for the fight.

Well, steroids aren't a weight loss cure. A lot of NFL linemen are a bit pudgy, as have been many powerlifters and Olympic weightlifters who were juiced.

I find it unfortunate that either one of these butterballs could be labelled "champ".

only 90 days? I thought that was just the first one... i heard there was supose to be 2 year ban along with that when they gave the title back. Not the best decision i do think.

Man, Toney took this fight on at the last minute, with virtualy no time to train or get into fight shape. And he's always been a bit "tubby." And even if he did take some 'roids (for the short time he knew of the fight) they wouldn't make him a better boxer. Hell, look at what happened to Vargas when he tried that - DeLaHoya destroyed him.
