True, but Tedford played the game the way he would have played any other game. I will say that the touchdown that got called back because of the clipping penalty might have made that difference. Its kind of upsetting because the guy did not have to make the block at all, but mostly because it was a bad call by the ref. It just seems that Cal's season was all of a sudden determined by how they played in their last game.

I do wonder why the Rose Bowl decided on taking Texas instead of Utah.

Heh, could you imagine the ruckus that would be caused if the number four team in the nation didn't go to a BCS Bowl? Or were you talking about Texas and Utah switching places in Bowls; Texas to Fiesta, Utah to Rose. Oh, and don't count Texas Tech out, they can hang fifty on OU, what makes you think they can't do it to Cal?

normally, Tech does score alotta points, just not against OU. the Sooners have beaten the Sand Aggies each of the past five seasons by the avg. score of 40-16.

BCS manages to screw up something else, I feel bad for Cal and going to the holiday bowl. All this stuff would be settled if there was just a playoff.

Yeah, kinda sucks that the Rose won't be Big 10 / Pac 10 this year...but since USC is going to the National Championship game, I guess the rules were out the window.

Hey Horns!

Break down and make the trip to the Rose. And don't forget to win the game! The Sooners got the "consolation prize" of the Rose Bowl a couple years back and it was an incredible deal. A great place to play and a great trip. I was happy for Mack and the crew although its' too bad Cal won't be the host. That would be a great match up.

Go Sooners and Go Horns!!

Everyone is arguing about whether or not Texas or Cal should've been in the BCS. I argue that Pitt shouldn't be in the BCS.

Yes, I was talking about Texas and Utah switching places in the bowls. I don't doubt Texas Tech's ability to score points, but I just don't think that they'll be able to stop JJ Arrington. Come to think of it, nobody has this year, and I just see him (and Marshawn Lynch) having a field day against Texas Tech's defense.

The best news I've heard today: Jeff Tedford signed to a 5-year deal!! Go Bears!

I'll be in New Orleans rooting on my alma mater in the Sugar Bowl.

Got transportation, got hotel, now all I need is tickets.

Anybody have any extra sugar bowl tickets they'd like to sell me?

Go HOKIES!! (even though Auburn will probably beat us)

I'm going to the Silicon Valley Bowl in San Jose. I march with the NIU Huskie Band and they're paying for us to fly out there, for our hotel, and for all of our meals. It's a pretty sweet deal. Basically the only thing I need to shell out money for is if I want to party up. We're going to be there from the 28th-31st. Go huskies!

North Texas has a bright future ahead of them though, Jamario Thomas (correct me if I got his name wrong) is brilliant on the field. He sees everything and is an awesome rusher.

the game really sucked. southern miss stacked 9 in the box and jamario couldn't run through them. they got to our quarterback so fast that there was no time to throw the ball either. jamario still ended up with 92 yards, not bad against a team selling out with 9 in he box. they were just so much bigger and faster than our guys. yes, North Texas has a bright future, but it will be tough getting there. here's to next year!

I'm going to the Orange Bowl! Could have gone to the Champs Sports Bowl (glad I didn't) and could still go to the Capital One Bowl (probably won't).

Some coaches know the meaning of good sportsmanship.

The final score was only 26-16. An extra touchdown wouldn't have been embarassing at all. In the case of points, sportsmanship doesn't really apply unless you're up by a lot (example being Louisville beating Cincinnati 70-7).

Well I will respectfully disagree. If you've got a team beat, you shouldn't keep adding points when it isn't necessary. Unfortunately, due to the nature of human polling it is necessary. Anyway, I was really trying to point out other *cough* coaches' more obvious lack of sportsmanship.

A coach can't tell his 2nd or 3rd string QB to not try to score, fumble or throw an interception. The kid has been trying hard all his life to succeed and when he finally gets into a game with his folks in the stands he will do his most to score. What can you expect.
