Their defenses are probably just about equal, so that doesn't work.
Brady may be better then Delhomme, but Carolina has a great rushing attack, and can pass the ball when needed. New England can't run the ball against a anything better then an average line, and Carolina has probably the best pass-rushing line in football to go with an underrated secondary, which stopped the Rams and the Eagles for most of the playoffs. Now, Belicheck will have something to say about all this, and could easily shut down Delhomme and Davis/Foster. The Patriots' receivers aren't the best, but have an explosiveness that can overwhelm an unprepared team, or even a well-prepared one. Also, the last four years now at least one road team won a conference championship game. In the past three, that team won the Super Bowl (Baltimore, New England, Tampa Bay). I predict Panthers 23, Patriots 17, but it could definatly go either way.

I'd love to say the Panthers, but I just can't go against the Pats this year. I mean, jeez, they just keep finding ways to win. They combine a rock solid defense with an opportunistic offense. Add in some awesome coaching and you have your next Super Bowl champions.

Patriots are on a roll! Gotta go with them 'cause that would suck for such a long win streak to end at the big game.

The Patriots have been and experienced the Super Bowl. Their D is very stingy and good. The reason the Patriots are good is because of their defense. Then you have Troy Brown, Tom Brady and Antwane Smith. Not the best in the leauge but get the job done. Actually Troy Brown is pretty sick and you cant forget about Adam Vinitereri(he's money). Anyways, big Patriots fan. Since the days of Bill Parcells running the team. Pats by ten or more.....

When a team beats the co-MVP's twice in the same season, is undefeated at home, and is riding a 14 game winning streak that dates back to the final week of the basebal season, it seems pretty obivous who will win the Super Bowl. Ah, but if it were only that easy.
I don't expect the Pats to get big heads about themselves, but I do think the SB is gonna be a close affair with the Pats winning by 10 pts or less. I said it once and I'll say it again: Tom Brady is turning into the modern day equivillant of Joe Montana. An average quarterback who is guided by a brilliant coach and beats every "great" quarterback in the league time and time again. Compare Joe's and Tom's stats through the first three years of their careers -- they're almost identical. Pats 21 Panthers 12 |

Lots of similarities in these two teams. Both defenses dominated yesterday. Both have the advantage of terrific coaches. Few or no mistakes made by either squad. The inclination is to lean toward the Pats because Brady is better than Delhomme.
But, is he really? I think he has just been in the limelight more. I think Delhomme can definitely play with him. Panthers have been the underdogs all year long and look how far they have come. GO PANTHERS!

Pats 35-17
I'm surprised the Panthers have made it this far. I wouldn't completely count them out yet though. They did beat some good teams to get this far. The Patriots have too good a defense though, and also Super Bowl experience. The bottom line is Tom Brady though. He'll lead them to another super bowl victory.

It was 10-30-04 when Fantasma, now named Nostradamus, predicted that Patriots win SB over Carolina.

I've been a big Pats fan for years now, and if they complete this season with another super bowl victory I'll have a joygasm.

Let's see now. The Pats have experience in the big game, they have the latest "genius" coach, they have a winning streak that's be unequalled since 1972.
For all of those reasons, it will be the Panthers who win. There is just too much lined up to make the Pats the favorites. The Panthers are where the Pats were 2 years ago. The Panthers have been the unappreciated, underdog all season. I think it will be a close game, but the Panthers have a nasty habit of winning those. Pick the Panthers and surprise your friends. ![]()

I'm gonna have to go with the Patriots by a small margin. It would be a blowout if they found a way to make it snow in Houston, and have the temperature a balmy 15 degrees.

With a limited coverage of NFL down here it's difficult to really follow the game.(Got Foxtell three weeks ago so it's sweet now).
What a great final series it's been though with plenty of O/T games. Panthers are the underdogs so thats my pick.

Going to be a close game... as much as I despise him, Tom Brady is a very good QB. The guy consistently completes 5 or 6 7 to 10 yard passes each drive. (The offensive line gets a lot of credit for this, though.) From a D standpoint, no question, it's New England by far, although Carolina's secondary's kind of nice. A lot of people have been saying w/ out Davis @ 100%, Carolina is doomed, but where did Foster come from, anyone else see him break five tackles for the big TD @ the Linc?...I'm sooo glad the birds lost.... I could ramble on for days about this game, my heart's w/ Carolina because you have to have respect for what they've done, but in the end, I pick the Pats.

im with the panthers...i mean brady is starting to doubt himself in this game coming up and when a qb has a little doubt about himself and he is going to say it on tv. then that team has some issues coming their way...so im going to have to go with the panthers for now...sorry patriot fans! jeremy

Panthers win close games, and their D keeps them in games. However, I think the Pats are recently beating teams. The last odds I saw were Pats minus 6 1/2, I like the Pats right now since I do not think Panthers can keep up
