This Is Just Insane - Tom Brady Kicks Some Serious Shit
we all know the dolphins suck - i mean in this years draft everyone on the planet that follows football knew they needed a quaterback - but to pass on brady quinn makes absolutely no sense...
the bookies this year are losing their shirts if you pick the pats to cover... which brings me to this - week 7 - pats are favored by 16, the o/u is 50... at the half it's 42 - 7 and there's not one fan in the stands - those folks you saw at the start of the 3rd were clean-up crews... is brady and the pats that good or does miami really blow... last week we had the most hyped game of the season with new england playing in dallas which also turned into a blowout... here's something to consider... games: 6 rating: 128.9 completions: 148 attempts: 204 %: 72.5 yds: 1771 yds/g: 295.2 yds/att: 8.7 td's: 21 int's: 2 brady is gonna re-write the record books this year with the schedule he has - and he's only half way there... this is just unconscious... the offensive MVP should go to wayne huizenga for gutting a storied franchise because his mis-ownership is truely offensive not only to the nfl but mostly to the dolphin's fan base... |

Let it be known that I HATE Tom Brady with a passion.
(Is a Miami fan) |
Please, hate Tom Brady as much as possible. Hate fuels him like jet propellant. Why do you think the Patriots are doing so well this year? It's because everyone hates them and everyone tried to kick them when they were down and took their shots at them. Now it's on. Brake for nobody, two middle fingers to the league. He is incredibly focused so far this year. That Miami game was prime for a letdown, and he goes out and puts up 42 on nearly perfect passing in the first half. People always wondered what would happen if Brady had the kind of receivers that Manining had, now we know. Brady won 3 Super Bowls with guys no one outside route 495 (around Boston) knows, now he's got legitimate threats everywhere he looks and his line is playing exceptionally well together. The great thing is, I really believe him when he says that he does not care that much for the individual accolades, only about the Super Bowl.

Actually, I'm wondering what happened to the Pats defense in the second half. Suddenly, Miami was putting up lots of yardage. Did they find a hole that later teams will exploit? (hopes not)

I had no idea a team like this existed(being an NFC Afficionado myself), but the entire world audience must be absolutely bewildered at what the Patriots have accomplished and continue to amass. My take: I have certainly exploited the exceptional fruits of the team's gains in Fantasy, by having two of the top three Pat WRs (don't bother, I don't have Moss, but who needs him when Welker is getting all the looks). I just now need to put my pride aside, and go prudently against my own team's potently secure defense going into next week's game against the Pats. (But for sake of team pride, please have a sub-standard day and fall apart, Pats) :D |
Based on last night's Pats-Ravens game, I think the only possible explanation is that Bellichick has sold his soul to the devil for a perfect season. There's no other way that the Pats could have won the end of that game.
|
^^ Yeah, what he said. The Raven's defense was fired up, I mean Fired Up, I mean FIRED UP to make that last minute stop, and IMO, they were successfull. Ticky-tack flags and the TD bobble (and it WAS a bobble, not a catch) all went the Pats way. I have seen much less-bobbled balls be reviewed and the call was a bobble, no catch. It was sickening to watch.

I'll give you credit about the Raven's being undiciplined, and I'll agree that the officials should have been calling other penalties through the game.
But one thing that was a gimme for the Pats was the bobbled TD. I said it before, I have seen MORE secure catches get overturned as bobbled. The ball was bouncing from one hand to the other when he was going out of bounds, it was SO obvious by that end zone camera that I would have bet a large sum of money that the call would have been reversed. I'm not a NE fan, nor am I a Baltimore fan, that was just a blown call. |
I'm holding out for the 14-0 Patriots to get smacked sown by the 0-14 Dolphins in week 16. Break out the bubbly.

The Ravens should have won that game, and they lost it on the field, but they were put in the position to lose by officiating that makes the one game in "Remember the Titans" look good in comparison. The league won't even acknowledge it, either. |
DJ: what was the "illegal timeout"? Also, I hadn't heard about the "boy" thing, any further documentation on that?

I'm guessing that ref calls everyone 'boy'; he probably doesn't know all the player's names. Seems like a pretty small thing to get worked up about.
But, I haven't seen anyone else call that timeout "illegal". (goes and looks further) Here, from the ravens24x7 website: Quote:

The 2007 Pats will go down in history as the best team ever IF they win the Super Bowl, which seems likely at this point.
I hope they go 16-0 as well just to shut the fucking '72 Dolphins up for good. I mean come on, every year we get to hear about fucking champagne bottles being opened and yadda yadda. And I'm not even a Pats fan, I'm a diehard Bears fan (yes my beloved are a joke this year) but I'd be the first to give respect where it's due, and this Pats team deserves it. On that note, fuck the Packers, fuck them to hell and I hope they go one and done! --jaded |
Yeah, I think that even if I wasn't a Pats fan for the last 20 something years I would be rooting for them to shut the freakin 72 dolphins up. Each year they seem to become more and more annoying. This year they seem to have reached a particularly shrill pitch, with Don couldn't-even-win-the-Super-Bowl with Dan Marino Shula's openly biased appearance on MNF, and ridiculous mercury nose-candy morris' outlandish appearances every other day. I know that there are a legion of Pats haters out there too, but those 72 dolphins had one of the easiest super bowl winning schedules in history, and their season was 14, not 16 games long.
p.s. jaded, the bears are a good qb draft pick from being relevant again, and I hope they are soon. Old school football is fun to watch too. |
