It will probably be another year or two before we're really competitive, after Toews, Skille and some of the other forward prospects are NHL ready. Go Hawks! Linda, check out the 300 level board(formally S.H.I.T. Supportive Hawk fans In Termoil) if you like I could get you in just pm me. http://stuy.proboards51.com/index.cgi?board=general

Wings fan here. Could be a rough season, but with all the overpriced, undertalented free agents that were in the pool this year, I think it was good that Holland decided to wait till next offseason to make a free agent splash. I still question the decision to bring Hasek back, but again, there weren't alot of choices available. Let everyone who cares know more after I get back from training camp in September.

not sure what they are for the Avs, but Detroit's are also outrageous. Luckily, after years of fandom, I've met enough of the "right people" that I can usually get discounted tickets. If I had to pay full price, or worse (scalpers!!!!), I probably would still go, just not as often.

Flyers fan as well. I can't wait to see a healthy Forsberg and Gagne in action again this year..... as for the rest of the team... well... Bobby Clarke isn't the smartest guy in the world. After all these years he still can't see that one line won't win a championship.

My Sharks are really showing some amazing talent. I don't know if the Oilers will be able to stop them from getting the cup this season. As of right now, the Sharks are up 4 to 0 against the Red Wings. Cheechoo just tipped in a great shot right in.
Now it's 5 to 0. Last edited by Willravel; 10-19-2006 at 08:38 PM.. |

It could be worse Brewmaniac, you could be a fan of a healthy, underachieving team who traded off all of the wrong players last year.
Havlat could have gotten more ice time in Ottawa if we unloaded Alfredsson. As far as #1 goalies go, Martin Gerber sucks. Emery has been far better so far. They should have spent Gerber's $3 million on keeping Chara. Maybe things'll work out for us the opposite of the way they usually do. Instead of fininshing the season near the top of the standings and going out in round 1 or 2 of the playoffs, maybe we'll just squeak by in 7th or 8th and make a decent run... Stranger things have happened. |

So anyone have any thoughts on the debacle in Edmonton last night? My only problem is that the NHL gives McTavish a fine for saying McGeough's call was "retarded", and that he should be suspended, yet McGeough, who admitted he blew the call, gets nothing for costing Edmonton a chance at 2 points.
