College World Series
 

Has anybody been watching College Series? I been impressed with the pitching
depth of North Carolina. There has been some very exciting games on ESPN2.
I believe that the Tar Heels have the pitching depth to win the series.

I hope the ACC finally takes one.

I wish I could keep track of it. I'd love to be able to see how the high draft picks performed.

I catch bits and pieces...UNC looks pretty impressive so far

College World Series

It's going to come down to North Carolina and Oregon State. I'm not even going to try to predict the outcome. Both teams have just been tearing up Rosenblatt Stadium.

Oregon State is playing Rice tonight. I think Dallas Buck might get the nod for Oregon (He was the 2nd pick for the DBacks)

Good, Miami and Rice are out. Now we can finally get our draftees onto the Spikes! (see avatar)

Buck told the coach that he didn't have it in him to go deep in a game. He's been battling elbow soreness all season and might need Tommy John surgery. Oregon State ended up going with Nickerson and he was brilliant. It worked out for the team but it was a fucked up decision to make. Nickerson started on MONDAY and thew 109 pitches last night. That is fucked up to ride a young pitcher like that. You shouldn't risk a kid's career like that.

I hope OSU can finish this. I can just imagine how crazy town will be if they win--even though school is out for the summer!

I'm going down to Rosenblatt Stadium, Saturday night, to catch the game. I'll cheer for your Beaver(s)...:rolleyes:...but they're going to have a tough run. Carolina's been every bit as hot.

CWS is always a big thing in Omaha. But this year, even more so. There's been some damn good baseball being played this past week. A lot more so, in my opinion, than in years past.

Better dig up an orange shirt, then, if you're going to join Beaver Nation for a night! Once upon a time I had a very spirited outfit consisting of an orange jumpsuit, OSU flipflops, and orange underwear :P
