I've been rooting for Sweden and Russia - mainly because I want to see some of my favorite players do well on an international stage.

Sweden destroys the Czech and Finland destroys Russia. Should be an awesome final but the edge definitely goes to Sweden if you look back at the hockey history between these two nations.

After watching Russia's loss to the Czechs today, I'm glad to see that officiating in international hockey is as piss poor as it is in North America. I would hate to think that the Eurpeans were missing out on calls like Kovalev's phantom high stick (not to mention it was a late call), Datsyuk getting a misconduct for bumping the ref's elbow with his visor, as well as the follow through "high stick" call on Hatcher during the semi final game against Finland, and a myriad of other questionable calls throughout these games.

and all the goals for Sweden scored by Red Wings. Hopefully this carries back over into the NHL.
