GO SEAHAWKS !!!!

I predict a 19-10 win and on to the Super Bowl........been a long time comming ! xoxoxoo

Poppinjay 01-18-2006 10:12 AM

heh... so sorry, Carolina will beat you next week.

snowy 01-18-2006 05:58 PM

Obviously, Poppinjay, you underestimate the power of the 12th man. Sure, Carolina's 2-0 on the road during the playoffs, but Seattle hasn't lost a game at home all season. :)

Besides, we got good news today: Shaun Alexander will be ready to go on Sunday.

Well speaking of injuries, the Panthers are freakin' nursing right now - I know of at least Peppers, Minter, Foster, and Hoover...and I'm sure there's more I can't think of off the top of my head. Haven't checked their status (well I know Foster's out), but seeing as it's the champ game, I'm hoping they'll step up and play. Go Panthers! :D

Poppinjay 01-19-2006 06:32 AM

All they need is Delhomme and Steve Smith. No offensive line, no defense except maybe for Peppers.

Just those three. That's all I need. And maybe this thermos.....

I second the initial posters sentiments, but as much as I hate to admit it, Pittsburgs winning.

crow_daw 01-20-2006 11:58 PM

Yeah, most definitely go Seahawks. Around midway through the season, my friends and I decided that seeing as how all our teams sucked ass this year, then we would pick some random teams to root for. Teams that we never would root for normally. And I picked the Seahawks. So yeah, I'm definitely rooting for em. But what kind of sucks is....I've always liked the Panthers, too. So I'm not gonna lose any sleep regardless.

Also, about Alexander..... I know he's playing, but do you guys think that he'll be 100%?? I hope so, but I'm not so sure. And I think it's definitely gonna be a damn good game. I mean let's face it.....the Seahawks defense has not been that extraordinary this year. Not bad, not bad....but not extraordinary, and extraordinary is about all that can stop Steve Smith (if anything). But then again, as has been noted, Carolina is nursing some key injuries.

Man I can't wait.

Dude, I grew up in NC! Still, I'm old enough (tho not as old as bobby) to remember the 'hawks expansion year! At that age, not having an NFL team of my own, I picked favorite teams on the cool-helmet criterion! The 'hawk and the Raiders were my teams! I quit liking the Raiders when Al Davis moved them to LA, but I've always kept an eye on the 'hawks! I also pull for the Panthers, but not tomorrow; NO WAY!

Elphaba 01-21-2006 05:06 PM

Hey there, Tec! I have been banned from the room when the game is on tomorrow, because every Hawks game I've watched from their very beginning was a loss. I take full responsibility for being a bad luck player #12.

I will peek in if Zorn and Largent show up. :)

tec-9-7 01-21-2006 05:11 PM

I suspect that's more an example of constant-conjunction rather than cause and effect - especially if you haven't watched every loss the 'hawks have endured!

bobby 01-21-2006 05:37 PM

WE WILL WIN!!!..............Thus Spake Zarathrusta

BadForm 01-22-2006 07:01 PM

I was suprised by the NFC championship game. I thought Carolina would probably win and am shocked that they are not even competitive.

crow_daw 01-24-2006 11:14 PM

Yeah, man, one of my aforementioned friends (who had picked the Bears as his random team) was on the phone with his dad during the Steelers game, and his dad asked for an update on football. My friend told him "Yeah, the Steelers are beating the Broncos pretty good, and the Panthers are going to win later today."

Me: "Dude, you don't know that shit."

Him: "Yeah I do."

FAAAAAAAAACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bobby 01-25-2006 07:04 AM

Tryin' to wrap my brain around the fact that the AFC #6 is favored over the NFC #1 with the league MVP. WTF????

because nfl commentators are still starry eyed over the AFC because of the colts, pats, and a whole bunch of other good teams... the NFC has one or two perennially strong teams... Let's not forget the margin of victory in most of the last superbowls, not very much.
