Great Night (UPDATE!)

I had such a great night tonight that I just thought I would share it with you all. It first started this past Wednesday night when my roommate and I went out for a drink with his fellow co-worker. My roommate has a girlfriend by the way of almost a year. It was essentially a ploy to get me to meet her and kind of get to know her. So we ended up having a great night at the bar but my roommate got me a little too drunk. Long story short she ended up dropping us off back at our dorm and I came home and went to sleep.

When I woke up in the morning before I went to class I sent her a myspace message telling her that I had a great time and that we should do it again sometime. I came back in the afternoon to find a reply from her telling me that she was glad she met me and that we should definately do it again sometime. She ended up giving me her phone number and I called her yesterday (Friday) to ask her out.

Turns out she was busy but we ended up making plans for tonight (Saturday) to go out to dinner. We went to this place called Mimi's Cafe and ended up having a great dinner and conversation. Once we finished dinner I asked her if she wanted to grab a cup of coffee after, so we went to Starbucks. We ended up sitting outside and talking for almost 2 hours and just having great conversation.

We ended up leaving around 10:15 and I asked her if she wanted to come over to my place to watch a movie and she happily said yes. We came back and watched The Shawshank Redemption (which she had never seen before). About half way through the movie we got more comfortable and I ended up with my arm around her for the rest of the movie. When the movie ended I took her home and gave her a hug goodnight and said we should go out again sometime and she happily agreed. I then wished her a good night and came back to my room.

I just thought I would share with you guys my great night. I really couldn't have asked for a better night and I'm really looking forward to going out with her again. Thanks for reading my thread!

As far as a kiss goes I guess she was up for it because my roommate talked to her yesterday and asked if we kissed and she said no but apparently she wasn't opposed to it. So tomorrow night when we have coffee and come back for a movie it'll probably happen then and I'll be sure to keep you guys updated.

UPDATE: We are going out for coffee tomorrow night (tuesday) and then probably coming back for another movie at my place.

<b>UPDATE</b>: So tonight we went out for coffee. I picked her up at 8 and we went to Starbucks. Again we had good conversation and talked for about 1 hour 45 minutes and then came back to my place to watch a movie. Since I picked the movie last time I let her pick and we ended up watching The Longest Yard. So about 15 minutes into the movie I put my arm around her and we got a little more comfortable. Then about an hour into the movie she had scratched her head then put her hand back down and it touched mine (which kind of seemed intentional) so I grabbed her hand and we held hands for the rest of the movie. After the movie ended we started watching the extras and thats where I started making my move. I rested my chin on her shoulder and started getting closer and she reciprocated by resting her head on mine. I then started nibbling (mostly just kissing) on her ear and then she turned towards me and then we started kissing. We made out for about 10-15 minutes and by that time it was 12:30. I had to take her home because she had to work in the morning at 8:30 which meant she had to be up at around 6. Overall it was another great night and I'll be seeing her again tomorrow. We're going out for some drinks with my brother and a few other friends at a bar, so I'm looking forward to that.

Overall things are going very well with us and I'm really happy. I'll keep you guys updated on what happens.

Have to admit, I'm loving reading these updates. It's so nice to read about things progressing well, naturally, and happily without all the drama, handwringing, and "what if" and "I want more", etc.

<b>UPDATE</b>: Last night we went to this bar called Yankee Doodles. There was about 10 of us. It was me, my brother, our friend from home, my friend I played little league with, a bunch of his friends, and my lady friend and her friend. We played pool and they drank for about 5 hours. I only had 2 beers. So most of the night we just talked and played pool. They of course took extended bathroom/cigarette breaks (just her friend smokes, not her). I met them out on the patio with my friend from home and we just sat there and chatted for about 20 minutes and me and her were holding hands and being nice and comfy. Most of the night I had my arm around her and we were just having a great time. Overall it was a great night and before she left I gave her a hug and kiss goodnight and went home with my bro. Then when I got home I got online and started talking to some of my friends and she popped up online. So we talked for a little bit online and then said goodnight. After that we texted each other for about 10 mins and finally went to bed. Another great night in the books for me to say the least. We're going out again on Saturday night, so I will definately keep you guys updated on what happens there.

<b>UPDATE 11/27</b>: So I called her around noon today and made plans for 6pm to go walk around this new mall that opened up near school then go to dinner. We got to the mall around 6:15 and walked around for about 45 mins and then took off. The mall was not all that impressive and it was pretty damn cold too with the wind (it was an outdoor mall). We were going to go to the California Pizza Kitchen there but all the restaurants weren't open yet, so we decided to go to the Macaroni Grill. We got there and waited about 30 mins to sit down. We ordered our food and had a few drinks and enjoyed a really nice dinner. We topped off dinner with a nice piece of strawberry cheesecake, which was DELICIOUS! On the way back I asked her if she wanted to come back and watch a movie, to which of course she said yes, and we came back and watched Wake Up Ron Burgandy (The 2nd movie of Anchorman). After the movie was over I put some TV on and we ended up watching the Mind of Mencia for a little bit then turned on Saturday Night Live. We watched SNL for about 45 minutes then we started making out. We ended up making out for about an hour or so and then watched the rest of Pimp My Ride. Things got a tad more physical than the other night, which included touching and caressing of both of us. After that we snuggled up on the couch for a little bit and watched some more TV and then I ended up taking her back home.

The only thing I can say about tonight is that it was perfect. Even though she didn't end up spending the night it was still perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better night than tonight. Things are going so well with us and I'm the happiest I've been in a while.

I'm feeling great with the situation. My past relationships moved pretty quick and they all lived on campus (at school) so seeing them wasn't a problem. Now that I'm dating someone that lives off campus its a little different and a little slower, but I actually like it. I'm just taking things as they come right now and enjoying life. Our personalities are matching up very well in fact. Conversation never seems to be dull and we like to joke around a lot. Overall things are going very well. Headway towards intimacy is being made. I think right now we're still getting to know each other and the intimacy stuff will come with time, but probably in the near future. Right now though thats not my focus. I'm just having a great time with her and when that stuff comes around it will be all gravy.
