Hey girls/guys~ I've come to believe that I'm horrible at girl on top sex. Do you have any suggestions as to thing I can do to make it more pleasureable for the guy, and for me? I like it, but I just don't seem to get off on it as much. And as for the guy, well its always nice to pleasure the other person's desires.

Why do you say you're horrible at it? If you don't get off that way, that may just be the way you are. I know I don't. Does he not enjoy it?

I have no tips. I don't like it, and believe I'm pretty bad at it too. I would just ask for his understanding, cos that what I do for nwlinkvxd. Anyway, sex should be about comfort for the both of you. Why do girl on top if you're uncomfortable?

You really should ask your partner what he thinks. Usually, if a guy is having sex, its good for him (or so I've heard). Make sure you're comfortable. What seems to work best for us is for me to straddle him, then lean forward (ends up being me on all fours). Don't be afraid to reposition yourselves. That's the best way to find out what works (and what doesn't). Definitely communicate with your partner, and be open to his suggestions.

Talking to your partner is the best advice you can get, unless he thinks he also needs advice...then the tf is the best place to get your sex advice. But talk to him first and find out what he thinks. Then come back and talk to us if their is a slight problem.

my problem with this is not enough leg strength...I enjoy it but about 10 mins of vigorous motion is enough to tire me out...and not enough for him to get off...so, it's not my favourite really

I would suggest speaking to the partner about this also. I think guys usually like the girls on top for some reason. I don't know.

I have found that various places are better for some people. In the bed, I am horrible at this position, but it has to do with the way the bed bounces. When in this position the couch is alot more sturdy for me to use, of course there is the chair approach also. I would suggest trying this position out on other types of surfaces, possibly the floor.

I don't have a real problem with it. my prefered position is on all fours. it seems to provid for the most comfort, and penetration. My hubby likes me on top, because he can lay there and my boobs hang in his face. so i like to accomodate.

Woman on top is MUCH more pleasurable for me than it is for my wife, and I would assume this is the case for most couples. Something we've found that works is for me to raise my knees and create sort of a "seat" for my wife to recline onto. This way, she has something to support part of her weight, and the feeling of her sliding down my thighs is quite nice. It is also easier for me to get into a little finger play in this position.

For my wife, her on top is much better than any other position, so it really just depends on the two people involved. Try other positions and have fun with it! :thumbsup:

I find when she's on top that I don't feel as much. I like doggy and me on top because I can move it the most. Not that I have no movement when she's on top, but there is much less sensation. She likes it because she controls how deep I go. I guess that's not much help to your question, but it's my input.

Everyone is different, but for a guy, any kind of sex in any position is better then your best day fishing or at work or whatever(even if the female thinks she is doing a bad job)

I have heard of some women really enjoying girl-on-top positions, but it doesn't seem to work for us that well. As a man, I enjoy it since it gives me a great view and my hands free to explore. Plus I enjoy giving up control since I am usually the one dictating the pace, depth, etc. My wife finds girl-on-top to be tiring and not very stimulating for her, so we don't get around to it all that often.

If it is something that you want to improve, practice. I am sure that he isn't going to mind you working on getting better at it and maybe you'll have a breakthrough. Something like, "Oh, so that's how you do it!"

Exactly. For me, it's about the visuals. It puts the woman in charge, so to speak, and leaves my hands free to do other things (like eat a sandwich :p ).

I know for some women it's not as enjoyable as it makes them very self-conscious about their bodies and very aware of what they're doing.

If that's not the problem, well, all I can say is there is no 'right' way to do it. You could try leaning into him in either direction or using your feet instead of resting on your knees. He could try raising his knees a bit or find interesting things to do with his hands. With a little experimentation, you guys will find what works eventually and have your 'Eureka' moment.

Sex, to me at least, is about expermentation. Each individual is different and it takes a bit of creative thinking to find and understand what works for you and your partner. Books, tapes, and advice from us here at the ol' TFP are, at best, just guidelines to get you moving in the right direction and spark your creativity. It's up to you to do the legwork, so to speak, and find what works and what doesn't.

Well, they are using different muscles in different ways. Try the position yourself.

The wife and I love her being on top. Works for both of us. Some people have better luck with other positions. Don't stress about it. If it works, great, if not find something else. Doggy rocks too. We had a great time with that last night.. oh yeah.... *Off to find the 'got some' thread.

My most recent ex liked being on top, but not going up and down. I like the girl on top posistion but I will say it has never got me off, but the grinding feels oh so good. Oh yeah that's a good point- watch out with the going too far back thing. What worked well for me was bending my legs some so that if she leaned back too far she hit my knees. That way, she wasn't really restrained, but there was a safety net.
