Erotic blood-drinking survey...

Would you cut a partner and then suck blood out of them during intimacy? What do you think about this practice?

Glory's Sun 10-22-2004 12:41 PM

Cutting is a growing practice. I said yes because I've done cutting and the taste of blood isn't a bad thing. Of course I wouldn't do it to random people especially with all the std's out there. But if I'm with someone and they enjoy it and they have been tested then why not?

Averett 10-22-2004 12:45 PM

No thanks. Not my cup o' soup.

Penndude 10-22-2004 12:45 PM

I have seen blood shows in San Fran, and they are pretty hardcore. Not my thing...but interesting.

SiNai 10-22-2004 12:49 PM

Nah, that's definitely not me. Interesting way to express love.. But not for me.

tropple 10-22-2004 12:58 PM

When I was stationed at Mare Island (73? 74? I need some ROM), I hooked up with a chick from Oakland that liked to be cut during sex. It was kind of hard to deal with the first time, but I got used to it. She kept a little japanese-looking dagger on her nightstand for just that. She was hell on wheels on a 10-speed, too.

stonegrody 10-22-2004 01:11 PM

I voted yes. I think that's all I wanna say about that.

SirSeymour 10-22-2004 01:12 PM

You left out the "Maybe, have not considered prior to now" option, which is where I fall.

jenjen 10-22-2004 01:37 PM

I'm not a prude, but I find nothing sexually exciting about blood! I guess I'm all about pleasure and not about pain :-)

World's King 10-22-2004 01:57 PM

I love blood.

gar1976 10-22-2004 02:00 PM

I'm gonna need to go with "creepy and disturbing" on this one.

socal 10-22-2004 03:23 PM

not my thing

yeah this is where I land. If I met someone into it, I would consider it.

ShaniFaye 10-22-2004 03:36 PM

I have to say yes....very erotic

boredom 10-22-2004 04:09 PM

So erotic to share blood

Irishsean 10-22-2004 04:29 PM

So, those of you that are into this, would you consider it with a new partner, or is it only something for a permanent SO? Any fear of STD's?

*edited for schpelling!

crewsor 10-22-2004 04:36 PM

Creepy and disturbing would be an understatement for me.

maleficent 10-22-2004 04:36 PM

I went to a party a few years ago, and one of the -- ummm -- forms of entertainment was a woman that basically put on tap --

I guess it's my fascination with human nature, that I've seen so many people who don't and won't give blood because of fear of needles or the non-existent fear of AIDS or other diseases, but will willingly suck the blood out of another human being...

Not my thing at all - but hey, if it makes others happy - knock yourself out, just stay away from me with sharp things...

for me it has to be a VERY significant SO

la petite moi 10-22-2004 04:51 PM

Yes, although it would still be a little creepy.

Ustwo 10-22-2004 04:54 PM

I'm sorry to those who get off on this, but I think its really fucked up.

adam 10-22-2004 04:59 PM

Definitely not my thing. I don't have vampire fantasies.

eribrav 10-22-2004 05:29 PM

So usually I can understand why folks get off on certain practices, even if I'm not into them myself.

This has me baffled though. What exactly is exciting or erotic about it? Why do you find it so stimulating?

fallenangel 10-22-2004 06:06 PM

Hmm, i've never really thought about it, but I'm of the credo, never say never so who knows, maybe if all my ducks were lined up i'd give it a go, but that's a big maybe.

beteez2 10-22-2004 06:29 PM

i would imaine anyone into this would have some serious issues

Why? There are all kinds of kinks and fetishes out there - and the people into them lead perfectly normal lives, you'd never suspect what they do behind closed doors....

You have no idea.

Serial killers have led normal lives too.

I liked the Anne Rice novels too (though Queen of the Damned was pretty tedious, and the ones after were just bad), but that doesn't make blood drinking something I want to do.

Squishor 10-22-2004 07:06 PM

Your poll needs a more tentative "yes" option. Like, "Hmm, sounds kinda intruiging and I might consider it."

MSD 10-22-2004 08:30 PM

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. With the right person, I'd be open to at least trying just about anything.

ninety09 10-22-2004 08:36 PM

I don't see anything erotic about this. Don't want to try it. If I saw that my SO was bleeding, I'd run to get a bandage ;P

irateplatypus 10-22-2004 10:14 PM

i don't even feel uneasy when i give blood or see a particularly nasty wound, but i've got to admit that this idea is so revolting to me that i'm getting a bit lightheaded.

funny how that works.

Bill O'Rights 10-22-2004 10:21 PM

I cannot possibly imagine the circumstances whereby I would participate in such...activities. However, as I've said before...never say never.

Never. Seriously sick and creepy. I won't rip eyeballs out, cut off toes, or a number of other sick things.

Kalibah 10-22-2004 11:28 PM

God we have enough to worry about with Bodily fluids these days
let alone drinking blood itself

that said to each his own

Techno 10-23-2004 07:08 AM

Personally, the drinking and be drank from rocks. It's a very charged physical experience and has much powerplay involved. You're in a pretty vulnerable position when someone's drinking your blood.

For those who are in the "Sounds cool, but how do you get into it?" camp; shaving cuts are a good place to start, when I cut myself it's usually around my lips or neck (areas already erogeonoussusus* so it's just an extra buzz added to an already enjoyable experience).

And this isn't vampire wannabe-ism, no cloaks and bad makeup here. Admittedly, vampire fiction is where the idea orginates in most bloodsports fans, but it's usually tied more to BDSM tendencies than living in a coffin.

On the subject of disease, I'm pretty easy going, I don't really worry about it as I do it rarely and then with only my longterm SO.

* Fecking word. You know what I mean. Bring back the Titty Board so I can remember how to spell it!

avhg1 10-23-2004 07:25 AM

Not some thing that sounds like much fun to me. I don't really like the taste of blood anyway.

Lockjaw 10-23-2004 07:54 AM

I'm just trying to figure out who thinks this stuff up?
I'll think I'll add this to the "Never in a billion years list" with stuff like watersports, felching, scat, and choking.

omega2K4 10-23-2004 08:01 AM

Uh, no thanks. I'll pass on the blood-drinking.

KinkyKiwi 10-23-2004 08:09 AM

hmm...i like being whipped, hit, strangled and pinched..but if someone tried to cut me i think i would cry...its does seem pretty creepy but if i was in love with someone who wanted that i would try and get used to it..i guess it grosses me out less then like "golden showers" or whatever the name for the fecal one is..i mean its blood..your body...your "life force"...i can to a point under stand why it would be erotic..i mean bright red swlling from your lovers flesh..and pain can be sexy...still...owwww!

livingfossil 10-23-2004 02:44 PM

Perhaps it's on me, but no. I'm with Lockjaw.

Zephyr66 10-23-2004 04:59 PM

my girlfriend used to do this with a couple of her ex's. i, myself, find it kind of disturbing to be part of, but im not going to let something like that alter my view on a person or anything like that, so my vote is for the "not for me" catagory

Irishsean 10-24-2004 07:21 AM

OK, slight clarification on my previous posts concerning this. I have on occasion drawn blood or had it drawn from me thru biting or hard sucking, and found that to be extremely erotic. Its the idea of cutting someone I loved that turns me off.

cj2112 10-24-2004 08:26 AM

i can understand this, but it just doesn't interest me.

Yeh this is the first I've heard of blood drinking, my first reaction was "wtf?". To concieve it as erotic is a bit 'out-there' for me. But reflecting upon it, I guess if I was with someone I really cared about, and things went a little frisky during playtime- lets say she scratched my back (with her nails) or I started biting her here and there, and blood came into the scene, I wouldn't reject it outright. Besides, who hasn't sucked their finger from a papercut, same concept, just on another person.

Glory's Sun 10-24-2004 01:42 PM

I think the word cut needs to be clarified also. At best the cut wouldn't even leave a scar. It's not like a stab. So you aren't "drinking" blood. Some people have fascinations with knives and razors. I've had an SO like that. She liked to be pricked or cut (lightly) sometimes she would just let the blood do what it does other times I would lick it off. But to each his/her own... and like others have said.. a person should never say never

superiorrain 10-24-2004 02:08 PM

Few months back i had a wisdom tooth pulled out. For 3 days that bugger was bleeding or at least i had the tast of blood in my mouth. That was enough to last me a life time. I don't i could ever really get used to it. Plus blood has always had an association with pain for me never had a good experiance when i've seen it.

i'll pass on that one thanks.

given what you said about leading perfectly normal lives dosnt at all mean they have no issues....... i mean cmon just becasue you look normal fer sure dosnt mean you are...

JStrider 10-24-2004 02:33 PM

*shrug* i would prolly give it a try if i was with a girl that wanted to try it... dont diss it till youve tried it...

ive heard the half vodka half blood over ice is pretty good...

pocon1 10-24-2004 03:21 PM

I can honestly say that I would never do that, and if someone personally confides with me on that, then I would seriously consider and weigh my relationship with that person. You all can do what you want, because the medium of the Internet seperates us. I'll just pretend that I did not read all the previous posts.

CaneBay 10-24-2004 06:48 PM

Unless I missed something, cut WHERE, and HOW?

When I was in college I had a girlfriend who was totally fascinated with vampires. The bood thing didn't come up between us. She loved the idea that something would suck on her neck and draw blood, having nightpower over her. But she didn't ask me to draw blood, and it sure didn't occur to me then.

BUT, reading this thread, I am 95% sure that if I had thought to ask her just what she was thinking about when coming with her eyes closed, sometimes she might have been thinking about that. (Hey, what do women think about when they come with their eyes closed?? That would be an interesting thread.)

Variety is certainly out there ...
