My Ex Just Called... - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

Hi. I'm new here and this is my very first post. Here's my situation... my ex and I had been going out for about 2 years and 3 months. We just broke up 3 weeks ago... and this is the 2nd time we broke up. Here is my problem. She goes to school far from me and she is very anal about trying to pursue her career and getting homework done. She wanted more 'space' and wanted for me to be understanding and have her call me when she can. Problem is she barely called me and never made plans to see each other. She broke up with me b/c she said she couldn't deal with a relationship right now. I broke up with her b/c I had this problem with her and her ex-boyfriend before me and b/c she put no time into our relationship... all i was asking for was a few calls everyday (is that so hard?). She pretty much seems to be a bad person on paper... but she is a sweet girl. Thing is... she called me a few days ago, after we broke up, and said she missed me and loved me. I told her that I wouldn't get back with her unless she stopped the lying and the whole thing with her ex-boyfriend coming between us. So... I call her today asking her what's up. She said she needs a friend out of me. I told her I am not for amusement and not just some guy she can call whenever she wants. Everyone just tells me to relax and let her do her own thing and to not call her... have her call me. But I hate this rollercoaster feeling. I moved on after 3 weeks... then she calls to play tricks... and now wants to be friends. She said she has no doubt we'll get back together... but right now we need to patch things up by being friends. What am I doing wrong? Or better yet, what should I do? Funny thing is she tells me that she didn't have time to call me at all... yet when we break up, she calls me non-stop. Someone please save me from this shit!

first off you want her to call you multiple times a day. Why? That's pretty smothering if she feels obligated to call you constantly.

Second off you haven't told us what this thing with her and her ex is. They're in a class together? They're having sex every night? What? Difficult to give advice when we don't know what the problem is.
