Question about precum...
My girlfriend was putting a condom on me before we had sex earlier. She had it the other way around at first, and before she put it on correctly, the outside layer came in contact with a drop of precum. I whiped it off as best I could with a towel and didn't pay any mind to it.
After I finished, I started becoming nervous that it may have been a big risk. Am I right to be paranoid or is it no big deal? (my girlfriend is not on birth control) |
Chances are you'll be ok this time, but in the future, just use a new condom or don't do anything if that happens again. Its not VERY dangerous, but its not safe either.
Good luck. |
Well, precum does contain some sperm. Wiping it off with a towel would most likely get rid of most of the sperm, but there might be a few left, I wouldn't worry about it this time since the vaginal fluids are a weak natural spermicide, so any that were left were probably killed.

It's all baby batter. Anything that comes out has the potential of causing pregnancy. You're probably ok this time, just be more careful next time.

Should I go as far as getting her the day after pill? If yes, where do I get it?

Precum actually contains a higher concentration of sperm than semen. However, if you wiped it off and it was exposed to the air for a minute, I doubt you'll have any problems at all.

You probably have nothing to worry about - but better safe than sorry -- As far as I know, the morning after pill has no long term ill effects - it's just a highly concentrated birth control pill |
Okay, this thought just came to me: I was using a trojan extra thin spermicidal lubricated condom. I'm not sure if the spermicidal part is just on the inside or if it's on the outside lubricant as well. Does anyone know? My mind would rest peacefully if the spermicide was included on the outside layer as well.

The spremicidal part is the outside lubricant.
Between wiping the outside of the condom and the spermicide being present you have little to fear. |

i would have to guess that you will be alright this time. but dont be so stupid next time
|
i use the spermicid lubricated condoms and i think its in the inside and the outside... mostly on the outside but i dont think that there is some sort of barrier that keeps it from getting inside.... as far as the original poster's question... i wouldnt sweat it at all... ivehad it happen to me... hell ive had alot closer calls than that.. no need for a morning after pill...if it happens agaim just grab another jimmy hat

You realize, of course, that when a condom is rolled, the inside and the outside touch until you unroll it. Therefore, the spermicidal lubricant is on BOTH/all sides....
|
I've done a lot worse than that and came out alright. Just pay a little better attention, and be a bit more careful next time.
