This toy should have come with instructions (NSFW?)

Hi everyone. I'm including a photo of the toy I bought today so I'm not sure if it's considered not safe for work, so I added the tag in the subject.

Anyway, so, prepare to laugh at my ignorance... I passed an adult store today and decided to see if there was anything my girlfriend might like. She's never tried any sort of toy before and neither have I. I just wanted something very cheap and small for her to try, a first time sort of thing. The assistant in the store wasn't as helpful as I'd hoped, and eventually I bought these little 'things' for $9. He said they sold well and were good for a first timer. I should have asked him more questions, because I got home and I don't know what to do with them. They're rubbery, jelly sleeve things, a bit larger than my finger and with ridges, etc. on them. Laugh all you want, I'm totally ignorant about sex toys! Do they work like a condom (obviously not for birth control purposes), or for my fingers, or for hers? Or do you fit them over a vibrator? <img src="http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0PADpAo8RuwsFexaM5tzOc5jR2QjpSxJI7h0kwJNI!u0ykesERGg0sMIeXXp*Vjq6DEdbAgVWi6miBrGZPCo9wtnqSqCKJDBa/toy.jpg?dc=4675485458132113074"> |

Thanks everyone, I thought they must've been for fingers but I wasn't entirely sure. I think soon I'll try and find a relatively cheap vibrator/dildo for her as well.

For the time being I think I'll let her use them on her own. She's never used them before and she's still a little self conscious about masturbating in front of me, so hopefully she can have some fun with those ![]() Thanks again! |

I would probably classify sex toys as things which should absolutely not be bought without a decent amount of research beforehand. I would imagine there are no returns, so you'd want to be sure about what you're paying for.

Probably true, but I only spent $9 on them and I wouldn't spend much more on a vibrator, if I decide to go ahead with that. I went for the cheapest thing since I figure if she doesn't like them, no real loss, but if she does then it's a good start that might lead to better, more expensive toys.

There's a lot of good information in the thread Tilted Forum Project - Vibrator for starters?. A cheap vibrator will probably be worse than nothing.
