When did you have "the best sex ever?"
 

I'm was thinking about this today, and I'm curious: Under what circumstances would you say you had the best sex?

The way I see it, relationships have the advantage of getting to know your partner and what feels good and hits their particular buttons

With a one-night stand, you don't have as much history, but you might get lucky with someone who is "Good in bed," or is just new or different.

I would be willing to bet that relationships get the most votes...but this thread can also be a place to relate your 'best sex ever' if there is one instance in particular that sticks out.

sex feels nice, but sex with love is without equal.

It all depends on how you define best. The most skilled sex I have had has been in relationships. As you said that is because we know each other well and know what gets each other off. On the other hand, the most mind-blowing sex I have had has been with several one-night stands. Most of this was simply due to the anticipation and the skill of my partner. I voted for one-night stand mainly due to the mind-blowing quality, but I fully realize that if I were with that person several times, it wouldn't be as good. The most satisfying is the relationship sex.

does fuck buddy count as a relationship? i don't think it does for this post. so, i'm not sure how to vote, but the best sex i've ever had was w/ a fuck buddy, however my favorite sex is w/ my SO. i used to have one night stands while in a relationship when i was in college (give me break, i'm not proud of the cheating, but i was in college so fuck it) and the one nighter sex was better sometimes, but definetly not always.

I agree. But I think I'll vote for the relationship option. Cause I've got a relationship with the guy, just not IN a relationship with the guy :lol:

My last girl. It was a temporary relationship because when we got together we both knew she was moving within a few months. We were 100% compatible and the sex was amazing. We didn't sleep for months. =)

I've only had relationship sex, and only with one person but we do some wild stuff and I'm a happy girl.
I think the best sex we have is when we talk dirty to each other on the phone while I'm at work so by the time I get home we're about to explode. We watch porn together too, that's usually some good sex.

I would have to agree with relationship sex. Each of you knows what the other wants and sometimes varies it up for some more excitement. Granted, the one night stand is different, but the relationship has no equal.

Relationship sex is so much better than a one night stand because there is more of an emotional connection. Sure one night stands can be fun, but they are purely physical. When you have a physical and emotional connection it just makes it that much better.

I voted relationship sex - which would be with Dei37 here since he's the only relationship guy I've had sex with.

Reason: Relationship sex has all the plusses of knowing the person's buttons, emotional attachment, freedom to take the time, the ability to GIVE more than just Take sex (if you know what I mean). The only plus from one night stand type is newness and excitement from taking a chance. With hubby we spice things up in many ways. That's not just counting swinging. When you make the effort to make sex new and exciting with someone you already know it's the best sex there is, I think.

For me a lot more free and exciting with my so than any one night stand I have ever had.

My only person I've had sex with is my current boyfriend. Next month will be a year (yeah sure, we're newbies). He's an amazing friend, and I'm glad we can grow and learn together sexually, romantically, and emotionally. =)

I would definitely say that a relationship is the best, even if I haven't had a one-night stand.

Hmm. I seem to be in the minority here with only one night stands to go by. No real reason for it; maybe I'm a jerk. Who knows? Anyways, it wasn't flat-out fantastic but some sex is better than no sex, so it gets my vote.

In my opinion, sex with someone you love is without equal because you're also working on an emotional level as well as a physicaly level.

yeah I was looking for that as well. Because the best sex I have is with my loverboy but also with our "fuck buddy" when ever we have a thresome.

this is hard, it was in a relationship but the relationship was very short and there was no love there.

I feel most comfortable while having sex in a relationship. It's a different kind of pressure (I don't know how else to explain it.) I'm more relaxed and subsequently it's better sex.

That isn't to say that one-night stands aren't great, but if I had to choose....it's relationship sex.

Best sex I have had to this day was in a relationship. An ex and I had dated for about 3 months before having sex but after that it was a wild constant ride for another 2 years. We enjoyed each other so much we would go days with out leaving the bed except for food and potty breaks. I still think fondly of her to this day.
