Depends on the how heavy the flow is and the moment I guess. I've done it before and it didn't bother me, just took more preparations (i.e. towels, rubbers, etc.).

i would think that if anything it might decrease the length of time she's bleeding because orgasms cause the uterus to contract, which would expel the blood more quickly...

oops, forgot to add that orgasms can really help women while they're menstruating. it can get rid of that achy congested feeling and reduce the severity of cramps, not to mention she'll just be plain happy ;)

I can't really vote on this, as its neither a yes or a no. My fiancee and I don't have this issue, as the birth control she's on keeps her from not getting a period. It all depends on the situation though. Sometimes I imagine I'd be all for it if she had it, and sometimes I wouldn't.
