I'm Haitian (black) and I'm currently dating a white American girl whom I've been with for two years and four months.

I'm currently going to a small college in a small hicktown in western Pennsylvania, so of course many people have a problem with the biracial nature of our couple. However, there's nothing I can do to get people to let go of their racism and stupidity so I just go on wtih my life and take care of my business.

I love my g/f she haitian aswell she loves me, no one else matters but we always do get the odd stare,

someone once said that only way to get around racism, is for every non-caucasian to become famous. When you're famous, race doesn't matter. Michael Johnson isn't a great black athlete. He's just a great athlete. Jimmy Hendrix isn't the greatest black guitarist ever. He's the greatest guitarist ever.

But yeah, since your daughter is "Hot" (especially when measured against western standards of hotness), she'll very likely get a pass.

I am white, and my b/f is Korean. For the most part I think people are cool with it when hear that he is asian...however if we are out I sometimes feel like some other asian people are staring, and I feel like maybe they think he should be with another asian instead of me. Or.... I could just be paranoid.

The looks aren't the issue, as we are still dating (2 years now). For the moment it is almost the same looks as any attractive couple get. If we got married and had children, there would be problems, as the discrimination here is amazing for non-citizens and mixed kids.

Well, I am white my boy friend is cambodian=asian my dad hates it!!!!!! He even kicked me out to live with my asian boy friend when i was 18 but we love each other . yea we got looks when we were in cambodia and when I have his nieces with me ppl stare cause they think there mine so the problem is going to be when me and him get married and have kids ppl are going to look at me and if we ever get divorced(not saying we will) My dad says no decent white man is going to want me any more after i have mixed kids any one think thats true???

I'm white boy, my wife East Indian, we've been together 6 years. Never had a drop of trouble from onlookers. Actually never even looked to see if anyone is looking, it's never mattered. Only cultural issues are inside the house, house stinks like curry all the time (still haven't gotten used to it). After 6 years I still feel lucky to have this Bollywood babe sleeping next to me....

yeah the funny thing about that tho is that biracial children who are both black and white tend to be some of the most beautiful. And their hair couldn't be anything but the best of both worlds seriously. I can imagine it'd be hard growing up a biracial child in today's society man; kids are cruel to one another... I mean they always have been, but I dunno, I would think it would be hard sometimes not feeling like you necessarily "belong" to a certain group.

Anyways, who cares if people want do date within another race? My roommate is black and his g/f is white. I dunno if they get stared down, wouldn't surprise me though in this town we go to school in that is STILL somewhat segregated; blacks generally live on the east side, whites on the west. And that's how it's been since civil rights days and beyond. But yeah I guess a lot of it does have to do with where you live and what that area's general views on the issue are.

I'm seeing more and more multiracial couples these days. Maybe I'm just looking harder.

I've been touring other communities around the Internet for a while, and in certain Asian-American communities I've noticed a militantly anti-white-male-Asian-female attitude. Why? Because apparently white guys who date Asian women are just exotifying them. Because Asian women who date white guys are whitewashed sellouts conforming to the white standard of beauty. Because no one takes the Asian male seriously anymore in today's dating game.

Obviously, I think the instant value judgments cast upon such couples is bullshit. But it's interesting to me that people of my own generation and race can argue so militantly against interracial dating. That they should take it as a personal insult. It's a distortion of the real issues at hand.

My girl is black, and the only people that have made comments to my face have been black guys. But I know that that goes the other way too, it's the "You're stealin our wimmens!" menality.
I was suprised how little of a deal the whole thing was though, I was ready for some family drama and I got nothin.
