Great website for those interested in the more liberal/progressive side of politics. Definitely provides great daily updates on the goings-on of not only the national election but of state elections that could help determine the make-up of our Congress.

Also, for those interested, a great progressive weekly periodical is The Nation.

Dailykos or the Nation? They are very different publications, although those who hate both probably won't get the difference. Dailykos is a big-d Democrat blog while the Nation is an institution of American political thought, having been founded by abolitionists prior to the Civil War and continuing to publish independent (albeit mostly leftist today) political ideas to this day. Equivocating between the two is not entirely accurate.

The Nation will not be the organ of any party, sect, or body. It will, on the contrary, make an earnest effort to bring to the discussion of political and social questions a really critical spirit, and to wage war upon the vices of violence, exaggeration, and misrepresentation by which so much of the political writing of the day is marred.

I definitely agree, kinda joined two thoughts. I am an avid subscriber to the Nation and love its intelligent articles and authors. I reference Dailykos in that if you look through some of the "crap", it can keep one informed of smaller senate races, etc. that one may not know about.
