Edwards - Kennedy, Clinton... ?

I really enjoy John Edwards' incrediblly positive message, and I feel that he's certainly quite electable.

However, I only know what I've heard.. and that's rarely the whole story. Seems like every time an attractive, intelligent, well-mannered populist Democrat takes the world by storm, he's got a whole army of skeletons in his closet. Is there any possibility Edwards is avoiding the mudslinging because he knows he's got secrets? (Much like Al Gore did against Bush)

I would certainly never imply that John Edwards has had affairs like Clinton or Hart (Or possiblity both Bobby and Jack Kennedy). There are plenty of honest, attractive, faithful husbands.

It's just something to be aware of- the Democratic party has been caught with their pants down WAY too much.

My experience is that in terms of personal sleaze and corruption, politicians of all political persuasion tend to be equally bad.
