We are done, this world is done
 

Over all of the years of wars, pollution and vast syupidity there is one simple conclusion to this, this world is ending. Even if we stopped all of our pollution now it would take thousands of years for earth to repair. War will never be over and we are only overdue for WWIII. The void of stupidity this world has come to is rediculous. I cant belive there are people who will literaly starve to death to be skinny, then just fucking hide their skinnyness and STILL!!! keep starving. There are people who kill for a fucking most-likley non-existant God and still keep fucking saying this is what their god wants. We are all fucked.:sad:

The world won't end, it will still be around after the humans are gone. And, even if 99% of all humans are wiped out in a pandemic, asteroid or major war, there will still be millions of survivors.

There was a story a few months ago about what would happen if there were no humans on the planet. I can't believe I remembered reading it and was able to find the links.

They have been saying variants of this since the Roman Times and more than likely even before.

So how is this a discussion? What is it that you'd like to discuss that "We are done, this world is done"?

Starving to be skinny is a sickness, not everyone who does it is merely being vain. Some of them can't help it.

And I have to echo Cynthetiq sentiments. People have thought "it can't get any worse!" since the beginning of time. The idea of the Good Old Days is a falsity. Their has always been evil deeds in the world.

While almost every generation has come to think theirs may be the last, there has never been a time when we could destroy ourselves with nuclear bombs, or a time when we could so profoundly change our enviroment for the worse. There has never been a time when this many human beings walked the earth either......kinda makes ya think, but I still have hope.....hope that the meek really will inherit the earth.....maybe then we can find a better way.

couple of problems with what you said. In the first place, anorexia isn't stupid, it's a mental disorder requiring treatment. We don't say people are stupid for getting cancer - nor should we say it when they have anorexia. I should point out that there are a LOT of people on this forum, and some of them might just have anorexia - I'm sure they wouldn't appreciate you informing them that they are "fucking stupid."

The second idea, that the world is ending because people are stupid, is a cop out. Great, the world's ending, nothing can be done about it, so I don't have to try and change the way society thinks. If yours was the common attitude, black people would still be slaves, homosexuals would still be in the closet, and people would still think the ice capades was a good idea ;)

Those should be the first ones into the "re-education camps" when the revolution comes.

As for the OP, gotta question or just letting off steam? Personally, I can think of at least a couple of other occassions where everyone was closer to extinction than now along with truely stupid ideas. Black Death with a side of Inquisition anyone?

The general populace doesn't know close to half of the crap that goes on in the world.

But I wouldn't say that this Israel-US interaction actually happened. There are some other news stories that don't have the same story. Or maybe it is a conspiracy.

anyone see a show on discovery or history channel ? something like planet earth after humans ? pritty cool show and if true the earth comes back fairly quick. they show how life is comming right back near Chernobil.

imho, humans are the worst thing to arise on planet earth.
