Ann Coulter. Over the top...again.
The Right wonders why there is so much animosity towards them. Gee when Limbaugh and O'Reilly praise this lady, one need not wonder anymore.
This comes from the lady that seriously stated (and Limbaugh agreed!!!!) that what McCarthy did wasn't wrong. As she is a figurehead mouthpiece for the Right, they must agree with everything she says right? I mean the Right continually points to our radicals and tell everyone that's what the Dems stand for..... Quote:
Link: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060127/...E0BHNlYwN0bWE- Oh and BTW those on the right, if anyone on this board or in the media had said that about Bush, you'd tear them apart and expect appologies..... I eagerly wait to see you tear apart Ms. Coulter. She says it's joking, but joking about killing someone is idiotic and shows where your true values are. And Quote:

To be fair...I've seen many of our more conservative members criticize Ms Coulter for her foibles in the past. Why issue the challenge?
Should the right scream for apologies had those remarks been made against the president? Absolutely. And so should anyone else, for that matter. Should apologies be demanded from Coulter for these remarks? Yes, I would say so. And, why does the right have to automatically agree with everything she says? That's just silly. |
Question:How is this different from a play that plans the killing of GWB?
Answer: The play gets critical acclaim from the media |
Quote:
what's it called? Gotta' link? I'd like to make my own decision rather than asume this is true/false. |
Um...yeah. Never heard of that one, myself.
What media would praise something like that? A college newspaper, maybe? Direct me to some info here, NCB. If it pans out, then...yes, that's every bit as reprehensible. |
|
She's a little long in the tooth but I'd still love to nail Anne, think of the uber-conservative babies we could make!
Yea the reason the radical left is foaming in the mouth these days is because of Coulter, otherwise they would be all warm and fuzzy. If pan didn't have me on ignore I'd ask him if he really believes this :) |

NCB... what's happened to you. Your recent posts have been incredibly bitter and verging on winning you the annual TFP "tin-foil hat award".
Just because a play is called, "I'm Gonna to Kill the President" doesn't mean it is a conspiracy to do the deed. I like to think that satire is still allowed in the US... |
Quote:
Truthfully...this is the first that I've heard of this. So, it obviously wasn't a Tony Award winner. C'mon...tell me that you're not going to base any dialogue off of this. Please? This is akin to spitting on a forest fire. |
Quote:
Heck, Fox's hit series 24 killed off a fictitious president. |
NCB, Ustwo, you know what Playbill is, right? It’s the program you get at broadway plays and other selected large venues. It’s paid for BY THE PLAY. Just like when you go to your wrasslin’ events, you get a crude sheet describing the wrasslers. The Playbill is the program for the play. What would you expect? “Don’t see our play, it’s bad.”
And you present this as mainstream media praising a dramatic performance in which the president is assassinated? And Ustwo calls it a good find? That is really pathetic. I’m amazed. Isn’t this still TFP? Did I wander into freerepublic.com? |
Quote:
Gotta go with the nail Anne thing, though. Certainly not to make any uber-conservative babies, but who knows...it might mellow her out a little. That's it!! All she needs is a little BOR lovin'. I'd be doin' the world a disservice by not nailing her...right? Right? Oh, c'mon...humor me. |
Do a search. There are reviews in the village voice and a few other publications. They aren't really glowing reviews and they aren't really bad reviews.
Comparing Coulter to this is like comparing Coulter to some guy mouthing off about how evil Bush is in the lounge at the Student Union. |

No. Why does the play get to be labeled satire and Coulter's joke get to be labeled mean spirited? |
Because the review was paid for by the play. How much simpler can this be made?
|
I'm not sure how suggesting the poisoning of a Supreme Court Justice could be considered a joke. I could see how it might be marginally funny if I was demented or just plain evil, but right now I don't find anything funny about it.
Like that LA Times columnist in the other thread, Coulter can be best handled by simply ignoring her. She thrives off controversy by saying ridiculous things in order to piss liberals and moderates off and get the extreme Republicans to buy her books. |
Quote:
Coulter, on the other hand, puts her whole agenda out in front of audiences, the media, and everybody. That entitles her to whatever opinion of her seems most appropriate. That said, I'd totally do her. But only if I had her in a ball gag first. |

Not a week goes by that someone does not mension: big brother state that Bush planned 9/11 state that Bush is planning to create a terrorist attack to boost polls state that the government makes up terrorist intelligence to boost polls state that Bin Laden is being held but no one is told because they want to scare us state as a fact that Bush knew there were no WMD's in Iraq ... I could go on. But THIS gets him up there for tin foil award? /boggled |
Quote:
Bush supporters are in the minority here. We conservitives are plenty Please stop trying to label everyone. |
umm is there proof that the play even existed and wasn't just a hoax?
In addition there is a big difference between a play saying it is going to kill the president (note: it doesn't say by name, it could be a play staged in the 1800's who know...) and saying "someone should kill soandso" by name. If you can't see the difference then take off your blinders because your are being blinded by partisan bs. |

Youre not paying attention then. Sorry |

Is alpha a conservative or a liberal? What's your definition of conservative? |
Coulter is such a fugly hag. I wouldn't touch her.
|
she is just a very low quality human being.
Nothing that she says merits attention. Politically, I approve of her - because she tries to represent a cause I am opposed to,and brings nothing but contempt and humiliation upon the view she tries to speak for. As a human being, I of course find her abhorent. |
Quote:
Coulter?.....that's true. Reality?......Now that's where I live. So how would you define Conserative values? Why do you call yourself Conserative? |
Ann Coulter has never been accused of having good taste, has she? But she said she was just joking, so what's the story here? We all know she hates everyone who doesn't agree with her. (kind of reminds me of the morality thread in GD) To me, she's like a stupid drunk at a bar, mouthing off and embarrassing all her friends until they throw her in a car and drive her home. And like Ustwo and Bill, I'd nail her, too, but I'd nail her in the butt and make it hurt.
|
Sure she's like a mouthy drunk at a bar... the only difference is she has a national platform. A drunk just has the population of the bar that's paying attention.

You have no idea how hard these words are for me to type: Ustwo makes a good point.
Where are the hot liberal pundits? We don't have anybody to put up against Ann (we're on a first name basis, thanks) as a psycho-left-wing hottie. Imagine the mud wrestling matches we could throw if we had a lefty counterpart for Ann to throw down against! |

Threatining to harm or murder a judge is not very smart, even if you say you're joking, as show by a recent incident in Australia

ratbastid, BOR, have you guys REALLY checked out politically active prominent women?
They the can fuck theirs http://www.eagleforum.org/gif/phyllis/ps-books2.jpg We can fuck ours: http://www.edge.org/3rd_culture/bios/images/wolf200.gif And if you don't know these two, then for shame. Do your homework. |
Well, that's true. We've got Angelina Jolie.
|
I'd have to say, as much as Michael Moore has some tendancies for misrepresentation and taking cheap shots.. I dont think you can compare him to someone like Coulter.
I mean, he doesnt go around saying things like "we should murder their leaders and force them to convert to my religion" |
