Flamingo - New Orleans, LA
took this shot back in August at the New Orleans Zoo. Their zoo is much better than the one we have here in Houston.

Wow! Thats some briliant colors. Great shot. Excelent detail in it as well. The background looks a little gray and wet. Was it raining?

thanks for the compliments...
actually they were standing in a shallow pond with a slow moving water fall in the background. thats what that rock is from... thanks again. |
very nice. thanks for sharing.

I second that, really great photos was also my first impression, esp the depth of field, sort of hyperfocal feel to the photo. That reminds me, I gotta get to our local zoo and use my telephoto and try some animal closeups

thanks... i appreciate..
the trick is to go when its very cloudy... so u have to shoot at iso 100-200. the sun light wont be as harsh plus the animals will more than likely be a little more active.. well thats info above goes for us down here in houston, texas... further up north with cooler temps, you guys might not need to follow that advice... hehe abel. |
thanks.................
