Killbear Provincial Park
5 Attachment(s)
I spent a week with my Lady, 4 of our kids, the dog Haili, and her family/friends at Killbear. We had adjoining sites, everyone took turns cooking a group dinner, we went hiking and swimming and I was in a kayak for the first time. Awesome.

A few more shots - some of the dog, some of the glacial scarred stone.

I love Killbear. Such a beautiful park.
Thank you, Kramus! |
Dali-trees.
Looks like a nice place to hang out away from everything. |
Yes, everyone, Killbear definitely has a lot of gorgeous to counterbalance the too-close campsites and over-thin bush between said sites. My big regret is that the day we were going to go to Hanlon Point it rained, and I for one do not want to walk about that huge massif of smooth granite when it is rain slicked and thunderous!
The places in Canada where the Shield begins to show, and where the last glaciers left their signs and erratics tend to be beautiful and rich in things to look at. Especially near water, where the wind has had time to work it's way on the tenacious trees (Daliesque indeed). Thanks for enjoying these photos. |
