Few signs of spring
The weather finally cleared and I got to look around the yard today. Was happy to see some signs of the coming warm weather. Its been a long winter.
There is a tiny pond in our back yard and the turtles were out getting some sun. http://i486.photobucket.com/albums/r...g?t=1238987852 Some more turtles hiding in the underbrush. http://i486.photobucket.com/albums/r...g?t=1238987929 A duck couple have moved in. http://i486.photobucket.com/albums/r...g?t=1238988144 The oak trees are budding. Time to stock up on the Zyrtec. http://i486.photobucket.com/albums/r...g?t=1238988208 The lilacs are budding as well. http://i486.photobucket.com/albums/r...g?t=1238988265 Plants are poking out of the ground. http://i486.photobucket.com/albums/r...g?t=1238988303 A few brave flowers have already opened for the season. http://i486.photobucket.com/albums/r...g?t=1238988345 One more of the turtles. http://i486.photobucket.com/albums/r...g?t=1238988422 |
thanks for the turtles!
I remember them of all sizes, sunning themselves on the logs at the weird lake of many fingerlings, in Newport News, Virginia. (years ago) The tulips here are bravely one inch high. (wisconsin) A few more weeks and i will need the antihistamines also. Nice photos....thanks. |
A lush and promising change of season. Thanks, fotzlid.
