photos Shots from the Prairies!

Here are some of the pictures I have taken so far while living in Saskatchewan.

Let me know what you guys think. These were all taken with a Canon 40D with either the 17-85mm or 70-200mm L lens.

Beautiful!

I love the sunset pics. I can never get the colors to be as vibrant when I am using my digital camera.

I love shots like your first - distressed and worn vehicles in disrepair. I can never find anything like that around here.

If you have any more shots from that set, I'd love to see them.

Beautiful sunsets as well. I hope you weren't flying that plane while shooting...

You've got a really nice handle on sunsets. The silhouette of the pilot on the roof of the plane is a real stand-out!

I really like that 6th shot, with the sunset reflected in the plane wing, and the dust from the combine echoing the clouds in the sky. Lovely.
There is a quiet competence you capture with your shot of the 3 combines working in series. Something about the almost implacable, planned traverse those machines are making as they work together. I would hate to work the truck in some of that chaff and dust those machines seem to make. Yuck.

Thanks guys!!

No Manic I was not flying the plane, the man gassing it up in the silhouette picture is the pilot (also happens to be my uncle)

I am sure I have several more similar pictures in the series but unfortunately these are the only ones I have on me, I brought them to my parents house on a flash drive to show them, and figured I would show you wonderful folk as well.

Cool photos. Really liked the first two of the AA truck and the GMC 3/4 ton.

Thanks guys. I will be sure to post more one of these days. It is a little difficult as my home computer does not have the internet, so I have to bring the pictures over to my uncles on a flash drive.
