is she having a cesearean... otherwise... I hate to be the one to tell you this but babies show up when they are good and ready to show up... he/she could be early he/she could be late... :)
It's exciting.. have you the cigars at the ready dad? :D |
I was wondering when the little Mephistette was coming.
Best of luck to you, the Mrs, and Baby. :) |
Just wondering, will you be in the room to hold Mrs' hand and cut the cord? I did when both my boys were born. You will learn to appreciate you better half even more if you stay with her. Best of luck and welcome to parenthood, if this is your first.

Good Luck Mr. Mephesto!
I've been where you are twice. It is quite the experience. I suspect that you will do fine. |
Best of luck! Please keep us posted.

ditto what mal said. they come when they are ready. (unless y'all have an appt. with the doc.) i'm sure you've been told that up to 2 weeks are the "due" date is completely normal. and sometimes even expected with 1st time moms.
it's going to be awesome! here are two things i wish someone had told me: -stock up on laundry detergent. everything will be soiled. often. -look into a cloth diapers delivery service. (we started by doing our own - that sucks!!) we later found that a local dipaer service will deliver fresh ones and pick up the soiled once a week for under $15. edit: and at 18 mo., our little dude has never had a diaper rash. i credit the cloth. |
Good Luck Mr M

Well, I know the due date is more of an estimate. However Mrs Mephisto tells me that, because her due date was predicted based upon an ultra-sound, the accuracy should be above average.
Anyway... still waiting. Everyone keeps asking me if I'm excited or looking forward to it. The answer is yes to both, but I'm not as frantic as some people seem to expect of me! Mrs Mephisto plans on using disposable nappies (or "diapers") for the first 3 months, followed by cloth nappies thereafter. Yes, I know that means a lot of washing! Mr Mephisto |
First pregnancies are generally "late" by about a week or more.
Don't sweat it, and enjoy the ride - it's a life changer. |
Lots of luck to you, the Mrs and baby! It is an exciting, nervous time.

I just had my first baby back in Mar. I had him the day before my due date!
My sister who had the same doc actually had hers on her due date! Anyway congrats, good luck and keep us posted! |
