Netflix Sabotaged?

Maybe it will come back before I finish writing this, but for the time being it seems the site is down completely. Maybe it's something innocent that they have to fix, but I've always been worried about a big desperate company like Blockbusters coming in and finding a way to put down a major threat to them.

Of course I am just paraniod. I love Netflix.

Well, Blockbuster did just drop late fees and I have also seen that the have an unlimited monthly rental option that is cheaper than Netflix. I think that they are feeling the pressure.

FWIW, I am loyal to Nextflix. Plus, I am uncertain that the Blockbuster option utilizes the USPS. I live in NYC and pathetically, I never leave home so the USPS options works best for me.

I just read that Walmart is trying to get into the rental business as well.

Amazon is starting a similar venture very soon as well.

Did blockbuster ever buy hollywood video? Blockbuster put a bid to buy them a couple of months ago.

The site works every time I go to it; perhaps there was just maintenence to the site when you tried to access it. I also hope that Blockbuster doesn't buy Hollywood video, I hate blockbuster!!!!

I used NetFlix a little while ago. Service was great, but I was too busy to watch the vids, so I stopped using it.

Now stuck in the middle of winter, I've tried Blockbuster. The setup is about the same. The packages arrive via USPS, but one DVD never made it to me (no problem, they took it off my list), and the time from shipment notice to home delivery seems to take 1-2 days longer than NetFlix.

No real complaints. Just FYI.

All the dvd's for $17.99, you'd have to watch 6 movies before I would average the price I usually pay to rent a dvd. Oh yeah, the site is up.
