changing the future
about 2 weeks ago i had a case of deja vu where i saw something happen in a dream and then when it actually happened about 3 days later, i realized that i had seen it before. However, i caught it this time and i did something that didnt happen when i saw it the first time. after doing something else, the end of what i originally saw was different. So it got me thinking: did i just do something that i wasnt supposed to?

this has happened to me many a-time...I have a vivid dream, forget about it, and then it happens between 2-14 days later. Weirdest feeling ever. The frightening thing is, things happen that I can't control (what another person says or does, or a bird flies across my view) exactly as they appeared in the dream. When I finally realize what's happening, I usually change the "outcome".
In any case, just for reference, I don't believe in the afterlife, I am not religious, and I'm very often express the business-man mentality. |

Seriously, Mrs. Grumps claims these dreams all the time. Just kinda creeps me out.

A lot of times Deja Vu occurs with things that you do a large amount of occurences compared to other things - I always get Deja Vu at this one redlight - simply because I have probably sat at that damn redlight more than 200 times in my life.

The "offcial" explaination (or atleast as good as i can remember it) for DejaVu is a very slight delay in the time it takes for you to see something and then for your brain to register it correctly.
Personally i dont know if this is true, but i have this happen to me VERY often.. and i do also either try to change it.. or try my very hardest to remember what is to happen next as far in advance as possible before it happens (with varried success)... to simply watching the scenario play itself out before it happens for as long as i possibly can before the feeling fades. This has been happening frequently to me for as long as i can remember (21 now). It tends to happen about once every couple of months, and in different durations. Lately I've been experimenting in trying to find a way to control this (seriously). I havent started to do anything specific just yet, but i try to keep myself aware if this is going on. I also find myself rather sensitive to other things too, though. Namely, unexpressed thoughts or emotions.. but thats a totally different thread...

Deja Vu can be a funny and and the same time freaky thing...
I've had it a couple of times, some of them I could explain others I couldn't. I tend to think towards the medical explanation along with the given that we think so many different things, have huge amounts of different dreams, sometime one is bound to coincide with reality. Remember the brain is a funny thing, and it's not always honest to you. /end serious note/ But truly... everyone knows Deja Vu is just a distortion in the Matrix, right?

I have these dreams all the time. but the thing is sometimes months (or years) will go by before i see it in real life. and the deja vu only lasts for like 3-5 seconds. For instance: before college started i had a dream that i was in a classroom and heard a girl say something and then cross her legs. well ill be damned if i wasnt in the exact same looking classroom from the exact same point of view (back corner of the room) and the exact same girl that said something and then crossed her legs. this happens to me ALL the time. like ill realize it right after it happens like "whoa i just dreamed of that". what the hell is this about? anyone?
god i hope i dont witness a murder or something awful and then realize "hey i dreamed of that".
