BATTLE OF THE CLASSIC BANDS/VOCALISTS THREAD - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

Ok been done to death over the net I'm sure but for shits and giggles let's do a battle of the bands/vocalists type thread. running for 3 weeks. The top 50% of the vote getters will advance into the next week. Also, if you want, try to sell your choice by posting why you believe they should advance.

*you may vote for 1 band in each poll.

I have listed 8 bands who stand to achieve the (very unofficial) title TFP's #1 voted BEST CLASSIC ROCK BAND/VOCALIST.

The rules I came up with to determine are similar to those of the R-N-R HOF.

1. Must have been together for at least 10 years.

2. Must have achieved multiple gold/platinum sales (albums and singles) in at least 2 different years.

3. Must have written a vast majority of their own material. (part of being a great band is playing your own material)

4. Must have been major touring acts. (Anyone can sell albums but only the greats sell seats on tour after tour.)

5. Must still be selling albums (reissues of course ok)

6. A band member maybe listed as a solo artist if they meet the same 5 rules.

That said here goes: __________________ I just love people who use the excuse "I use/do this because I LOVE the feeling/joy/happiness it brings me" and expect you to be ok with that as you watch them destroy their life blindly following. My response is, "I like to put forks in an eletrical socket, just LOVE that feeling, can't ever get enough of it, so will you let me put this copper fork in that electric socket?"
