Reading the glass that I see right though with chambers of musty branches No gratitude found for this sinking soul I know. The face seems harmless like a baby but so covered with this think layer of suicidal torture bending at the edge of the needle and piercing his whole life. There he lay, losing his intellegence facing what he was. Truly facing, though, was what he could be. It was a soft kiss goodbye. Like so, one sad night, I could have felt his voice his arms, his very mortal breath and pain. No inspiration covered me until that night arose. Regretion pulls me down no so far as to pass, yet only to turn once around. Only to dance his song face to face just a slight glide of his eyes as his feelings flow deep into me is my distant prayer never to be so real. Night chosen that he spoke to my soul matching up to it all. He was here within me reminding me of his presence. He was born into me, only undisguised, truthful it was. The visible trademarks where he had broken the silence of respect in him tossed away they were thousands of tears for hate. No revenge or grudge upon you, my brother my sun. You rest soundly in the deepest vessel I hold. Not forgotten, not forgiven This world was yours and mine. -1996 written to Kurt after an incredible dream, letting me know that he is still here in spirit. |
