Anyong seen The White Stripes in concert?
 

Hey y'all. I usually don't post much on Tilted Music, but I thought it was most relevant to this board, so here we go:
Has anyone here seen The White Stripes in concert? My brother is taking me November 25th as an early Christmas present, and I was wondering if their live show is any good. I absolutely love their albums...I've heard "De Stijl" and I own "White Blood Cells" and "Elephant". So are they any good live? I'm seeing them with Whirlwind Heat, who I've never heard of. Any imput would be much appreciated.

They're absolutely incredible, I was a little wary about going to a two-piece band live but what a surprise it was! Everything about their performance absolutley rocked, trust me, if the gig you go to is anything like the one I went to a couple of weeks back, you're going to want to see them again and again.

EDIT: Personally I think they're better live than on CD.

My friend went to see them recently, and he's said nothing but good things about the experience. He's convinced that Jack White is one of the best modern soloists, thats something I'd need to see/hear to believe.

I haven't seen them live either, but I've also heard that Jack is an amazing guitar player.

I just saw them in Indianapolis last week and they were great. Having only two poeple in the band don't hinder their ability to rock, they actually brought some plaster down from the ceiling due to the noise.

Saw them in Tampa and they were incredible ...... BUT they only played for about 70 minutes. Tops, 70 minutes.

Awsome show, but tickets were $40 and I expect a little more than an EP of a concert....

you can not POSSIBLY get a concept for how talented Jack is until you see the Stripes live. Just his ability to do so many things at once is astounding... and all on a guitar that (from the looks of it) has a face made of brown paper.

anyone who criticizes them for "lack of talent" has obviously not been to one of their shows.

My head almost exploded when I saw them live. They were THAT good. You'll walk away amazed.
