The Streets

Has anyone heard the British hip-hop/rap group named The Streets? I got into them not so long ago and I must say they are one of the freshest sounding groups i have heard in a long time.

On the advice of a friend I downloaded a few songs from them.

They are quite unique, but I haven't quite got into them yet. Its not bad music, just different to what I'm used to.

Word....a little too weird for me. If you like them you'd prolly like Aussie hip-hop as well. Same shit ya know....accents n what not. I heard Push Things Foward...and it's not so bad that I have to change the channel...but it's also not so good that I gotta go out and buy their CD either.

Asta!!

good stuff...this guy (Mike Skinner, I think) recorded it in his brixton flat and hit it big....

I really dig the streets.

Thank God some of you listen to The Streets. Stay Positive is one of the most hardcore, fucking amazing songs I have ever heard. It's one of my top 10 most influential songs ever.

The Streets is just one guy (Mike Skinner) who produced it all himself in his apartment in england. If you like him another awesome british rapper is Dizzee Rascal ... crazy accent as well :P

Downloaded a few of the songs and I like em. It's a different sound and the lyrics are occasionally very funny.
