Best album title?
Thought I'd start a thread for your favorite album titles. Include up to five, the artist/band's name, and if you want to go for extra points you can tell us what kind of music it is.
1) PIG - Genuine American Monster (industrial) 2) PIG - A Poke In The Eye. . . With A Sharp Stick (industrial) 3) PIG - The Swining (industrial) 4) My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult - Some Have To Dance, Some Have To Kill (dance/techno) 5) PIG - Prime Evil (industrial) It's really hard to try to pare down to five. |
NOFX - 45 or 46 Songs That Weren't Good Enough to Go on Our Other Records
NOFX - Punk In Drublic Megadeth - Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good! thats all i got off the top of my head |

Sigur Ros is awesome, went to see them in concert last year. Can't understand a word, but still very moving.

Joe Walsh always came up with the best album titles.
"You Can't Argue With A Sick Mind" "Got Any Gum" "You Bought It: You Name It" "But Seriously Folks" and my favorite: "The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get" --- When that one makes sense...Time to stop drinking:thumbsup: |

REO Speedwagon- "You can tune a piano, but you can't tuna fish"

D'oh, I forgot about that one. Great picture on the cover too!! |
I don't even listen to Frank Zappa, but he had some great titles:
Weasels Ripped My Flesh We're Only In It For The Money Sheik Yerbouti (say it out loud) |
Hairway to Steven
by the Butthole Surfers (Stairway to Heaven) for the hard of hearing |
The Joe Walsh titles are good and so is that REO Speedwagon posted by perripken.
|
"Honey, I'm Homely!" Dance Hall Crashers
"Greatest Misses", Devo "Hooray for Boobies", whoever that was, can't argue with the sentiment! ...and if I had a band, our first album would be titled "Greatest Hits (So Far)". |

|
A local mob just put out "Mission: Inappropriate"

Humor - American Music Made To Strip By (Zombie :D)
Seriousness - Reroute to Remain (In Flames) *fill in 3 others* |
The absolute best album title has to be:
Blink 182 - Take Off Your Pants and Jacket |
God - Ween - Satan: The Oneness
by Ween |
The Offspring - "Chinese Democracy (You Snooze You Lose)"
gotta love that title. |
Slip Stich & Pass - Phish
New Miserable Exprience, Congratulations I'm Sorry - Gin Blossoms and oh yes, a classic: Music for the Jilted Generation - Prodigy |
"New Miserable Exprience,
Congratulations I'm Sorry - Gin Blossoms" Cool a Gin Blossoms fan.... Both Album titles are great I think. I like Sing the Sorrow - AFI. It seems almost profound in its simplicity. Get Rich or Die Trying - 50 cent |

The best album title for me comes from DJ Shadow and Dan "The Automator" Nakamura. "Bombay The Hard Way: Cars, Guns and Sitars".... thats classic, every time I hear it i get a smile on my face. Also it has the best track names in it like : The Good The Bad And The Chutney, Ganges a Go-Go, Fists of Curry and Punjabis, Pimps & Players. Oh and the actual album is fantstic i would highly recomend it to anyone who anyone actually knows who DJ Shadow or The Automator are....
