Sorry, the Talking Baby crap doesn't amuse me at all. Actually it pisses me off. A lot. First of all, they're hyping that they play ooooooohhhhhhhh so much rock on MTV2, but they don't. At all. Only one day of the week do you get ANY rock, and that day you hardly get anything GOOD. You have to wait till 2AM for the "Extreme Rock" blocks, which is just about the only time you're bound to hear anything good. Don't get me STARTED on the rap, cause all the rap they play is shit. There IS good rap out there, but don't go looking for it on MTV2. Anyways, the Talking Baby just isn't funny. At all. It's just... well... stupid.

Someone PLEASE get me Fuse...

Yep. They constantly advertise that they play all this rock, when it's rap music about 23 hours a day

MTV2 used to be incredible. Now it is overrun with repeated videos and advertisements. We'll have to wait for MTV3 to see good videos again.

Fuse plays almost as much rap as MTV2. It's interesting, because on MTV2's request show, the rock choices consistently trounce the rap choices in votes.
It's all about VH1Classic anyway.

plus MTV X was trashed for MTV Hits, so more plain brown rappers and derivativr R&B

About 5 years ago... that's when (then) m2 was great. Totally random, no segmented genres, no bullshit, no 'shows'. I fucking switched to DirecTV because I wanted m2 so badly! Now it blows. I guess they figured out that hip hop and r&b help them make more money from advertisers. sigh.

I always realized that on Control Freak too...

...also on Fuse (Ovenfresh) the rock and/or indie/lo-fi type stuff consistently kicks all the rap's ass.

Yeah, MTV2 used to be incredible before it was added to most major cable networks... it was even better when it came out and it was just M2.

What the fuck is up with MTV Hitz and MTV Jamz is beyond me though... why the hell do they need 2 more channels to distribute their rap?

Personally I like MusicChoice... no videos but at least you know what you're getting.

I agree with all of the criticism of the actual channel......I just liked the commercials.

I'm alone in my appreciation of the talking baby? I'll be in the corner if you need me.

I actually like mtv2. That said, I've only seen it in the U.K. and haven't watched it much since I came back to the states. They had a cool late night thing where they'd play all these videos that no one else would play, often because of sex and violence... etc.
