There is a band out of Calgary called "Plaid Tongued Devils" that play an ethnic, eastern rock, klesmer sound....very talented violinist......this sound is becoming very popular in Europe...

Would you say that it sounds like a lot of other bands? Or just sound like a few of them, with the Bolly sound layered on top? I'm a fan of some of the bollywood sound, and I'm looking for it to make a real impact on American pop music tastes. Panjabi MC really hasn't broke into North America as I thought he would because he's really really... ethnic. ;) All the other artists to try to emulate the sound tend to sound like cheap knockoffs.

Anyway, back to the original (modified) question, how would you describe them in terms of other bands and sounds?
