My band... holiday - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

I have been into music my whole life, and have been writing music with my friends for a couple years now. We haev had a full band going for almost a year now, the band is called holiday. our website is www.rockholiday.com. i would appreciate if everyone would give us a listen. we have gone very far from the garage punk band we used to be last year. In fact, if anyone is familiar with the band, The Used, we are in very close contacts with the guitarist, quinn, and are planning on recording and producing a small demo with him sometime this month. The songs on our website are the songs that represent the beginning of our music writing, which has eveolved into a very different style of music today. We definitely are a band to see live, even if you dont like the music, we get people coming to our shows just to watch us go at it. Music is fun, and holiday is about having fun and doing what we love, thats how we got the name pretty much. We felt that the name symbolized us having fun away from all the shit that goes on in real life. I would appreciate it if you guys would give us a listen, just click on the mp3.com link on the main page, and give some feedback. constructive criticism definitely accepted. thanks.

mp3.com registration is a joke. just fill it out with random garbage and they'll let you listen

Your band reminds me of the desaparecidos. the vocals are nice and raw and distant sounding. this music is good, sounds like more than garage rock or the typical pop-punk garage band that lives on every street.
my only complaint is that the guitars dont sound full enough, but i know thats not anyone's fault but whoever recorded them.

It was pretty good, had kind of a Sunny Day Real Estate sound to it.

thanks a lot. yeah the recording isnt the best, but its not bad for a demo. ill keep everyone updated for our new songs when they will be added to the site.
