Seems I've been misplacing valuable knowledge.....

This song was out a few months ago.

It's a love song (I think?) with a guy warbling through with only an acoustic guitar.

Now, I don't have all the lyrics, but here are the ones I remember.

"Born on the 14th of July....Smell of roses (?) made her cry"

"I would give everything that I own.....I'd give you my heart and my skin and my bones (?)"

"I would do anything.....I would do everything..."

I'm making a CD for a friend of mine and she really likes the song although neither of us have any friggen' clue as to the name or who sings it.

I did some searching on the Internet to no avail and figured if anybody could help me it would be the folks at the TFP.

gah... i cant think of the name of the guy, but i hear the song all the time... im lookin for it though, let you know if i can find it

Not a new song...from the 70's. Could be a remake.
