franco and the t.p. ok jazz treats
this relates to cyn's music from faraway thread--but i'm feeling a bit evangelical about this stuff, so i put it here.
it's been a very long winter. spring is gradually pushing its way through...new stuff is coming. it was like some cosmic-order affirmation of this that last night i stumbled across a huge pile of clips from the kings of the kinshasa sound, and one of the great bands in the omniverse, franco et le tout puissant ok jazz orchestra Pension Na Bandalungwa Merci Bapesaka Na Mbwa Ebale Ya Zaire i love this song...the lyrics are translated and are beautiful... Toyeba Yo Laissez Nous Tranquiles Mabele Faute Ya Commercant

One of the things with very localized sounds is that it brings you there. Thanks this is exactly what I was talking about in the imports thread. Thank you for the spring soungs.
