Closure... (NEAT PICS)

Reference: (when i originally bought it)

Well, i sold it to a guy i thought i could trust...while awaiting a duplicate title to sign over to him, he went bankrupt and had to close his shop...where my old suburban was parked. What did he do with it? left it on the street with no plates...i just happened to drive down that way out of curiosity (i live in nevada, 227 miles from there...)and see it sitting there, so i call and he tells me some sob story and tries to appologize for attempting to fuck me.

With a looming $1500 minimum impound fee (on streets, no plates) + 30 days storage fee minimum + lean sale...so on...

I call a guy i used to deliver to out in the middle of nowhere, he owns a scrapyard...

$420 later, i have it towed out there...

Looks gimpy with no wheels...

Moving it into position

http://urbandev.net/crushedburban/5.jpeg
Tip...

http://urbandev.net/crushedburban/6.jpeg
Slam

http://urbandev.net/crushedburban/7.jpeg
Weakening the frame so it will fold right

http://urbandev.net/crushedburban/8.jpeg
Pullin it off the frame

http://urbandev.net/crushedburban/9.jpeg
Twist, snag, slam.

http://urbandev.net/crushedburban/10.jpeg
Got it off the frame...

Somebody was living in it, there were blankets and daipers all over in it...

Ate the front end clean off, the back seat looked completely unharmed looking through the void where the front was.

In goes the chassis, saving the rest of the cab for later.

http://urbandev.net/crushedburban/13.jpeg
Unfinished business.

http://urbandev.net/crushedburban/14.jpeg
That thing has a lot of power behind it...

http://urbandev.net/crushedburban/15.jpeg
It did a fine job crushing it perfectly aligned with the grill...

http://urbandev.net/crushedburban/16.jpeg
Cab and body lined up to pose...

http://urbandev.net/crushedburban/17.jpeg
Had some good times in there...

http://urbandev.net/crushedburban/18.jpeg
2 pieces...

http://urbandev.net/crushedburban/19.jpeg
Lots of orange...

http://urbandev.net/crushedburban/20.jpeg

"Dude, we can fix it! My dad's got a bitchin set of tools!"

Good set of pics and a good story to go with it. I'd consider it a bullet dodged.

Some WD-40 and Duct tape should get that running in no time at all...

Did you get some of the goodies out of it? Like the engine and Transmission?
