Rebuild Updates (w/ pictures)

This is where i'm at so far...

Took everything i could off the engine, now im trying to get the fuel pump off so i can get to the motor mounts.

Overview of the situation.

Close-Up of the valley. this shit was so thick when i replaced the heads last summer i had to scrape it out with a spoon.

Mmmm...Healthy....

Cylinder walls look like they're in pretty good shape, for boring anyway.

Water + Oil = Foam. This is the inside of my right (cyl 1-7) Valve cover.

Seems like your on the right track...I would pull it asap..it's alot easier to fully disassemble on an engine stand. Once you get your engine stripped you can pressure wash it...then get it checked for tolerances, then boiled, magnafluxed and bored
