Datsun 620 pickup
 

I have a 1973 Datsun 620 Pickup with a L16 and i'd like to throw better engine and transmission in it. Anyone know what my options are? Any Nissan engines i could put in it without any modification to the engine mounting?

I'm not so sure about bolt-in options

But in Australia, we have several Nissan engines that will do the job

Z18ET (1800cc SOHC Turbo)
FJ20DET (2000cc Twincam Turbo) <--- very nice
L18 (bleh, our Nissan 720's came with em *yawn*)
CA20 (From U12 orig Front Wheel drive) or S12 200sx
CA18DET (1800cc Twincam Turbo - 180SX in australia)
SR20DET (2000cc Twincam Turbo - 200sx in AUstralia / 240SX elsewhere)
VG30DE(T) (S12 / 300ZX etc)

All I can think of for now

just a thought but a salvage yard might have an interchange manual. good luck.
