I have an '83 944 with an unusual problem. Seems a crack has developed in the firewall behind the engine, causing trouble with the clutch pedal. It will not return to it's full release position, even with and beside the brake pedal.

It's only a matter of time till the clutch doesn't return at all....

If you have any suggestions for repairing, preferable for less than I've been quoted by import shops ($1500+....ouch!), they would be greatly appreciated.
