Pontiac Vibe...?!?!
 

Hey Everyone.. Well Im looking in to purchasing a Pontiac Vibe.. Anyone here have one? What do you have GT or AWD? What did you end up paying if you dont mind me asking...

The reason for asing is the AWD is 127 Hp and the GT is 173hp which is a heck of a difference.. But the GT is only six speed Manual!

Any help would be great!

i thought about buying one, because they look cool and are very practical... i would have to buy the GT.

the AWD they use for more of a "safety" thing, you know, handling in snow and rain and such. they don't use it for performance and therefore don't stick it on the GT. i say GT or Vibe.

of course since i was looking at the Vibe, the PT Turbo came out, and it's got 215, quite a step above 173. but i know the styling isn't for everyone.

now i'm looking at the WRX wagon, which has 227. now that it's been restyled it'll probably be the car for me, and it's got AWD like you seem to like! :D

Although, I don't know if its the new redesigned Audi turboes or not, they were too big to spool efficiently before

A guy at work got the AWD, and it's a dog, not much pick up. His wife had an accident with it after only owning it a week...

Toyota matrix is the same car with slightly different body parts, not sure if they have the same options packages or what. The 6speed trany and engine are pulled right out of the celica.

yeah but the matrix is ugly IMO... i'd take a Vibe over a Matrix anyday.

Heh i like the matrix better, of course i do not like GM and think it's sad they had to get toyota to make them a good car cause they couldent pull it off.

I took one for a test drive last year they got balls, and can move.


Handling is good,(well I like it)

Great car, I have driven my friend's and I really like it. He has not had any problems and has put over 30k miles on it. Im not sure if its the GT or AWD though. Its a base model.

I'm still trying to figure out why you say six speed manual like it's a bad thing.

Get the GT and learn to drive a stick. You'll never go back. :)
